Nico is rear end but drat that's a lot of viewers (97k & 83k). That's more than we can expect to see from Evo finals.

e: make that over 100k on stream 1, and still going up

Either Evo is going to blow the gently caress up this year, or USA is still free to japan at fighting games even in spectating.

Aren't these just individual views and not concurrent viewer counts?

That's also the number that shows in the bottom "popular"-bar. I doubt they'd show the total view count over current viewers there.

Maybe it's because most big tournaments on niconico have been ppv, so no one realized what the viewer potential was.

Looks like it is individual views, as it was still rising after the matches were over. Current viewer count doesn't seem to be visible anywhere? What a great system.

It's incredibly incomplete but in 2009-2010 he probably got 1st in most tournaments he entered that didn't have international players.

During arcade and the early console days you could flip a coin to see whether Justin or Gootecks would win any given SF4 tournament that both attended and that's really all you need to know about that heady era.

So I've been out of the loop since about the end of January or February or so. With Evo coming up, I was wondering if there was any must-see matches from the last couple of months before heading into Evo. Also is Infiltration still as unstoppable as I last remember him at SF4? The rumor yesterday was that Wizard/the Evo staff was going to try to help Dieminion make it, but Dieminion just started a wepay page to collect donations.

https://www.wepay.com/donations/dieminion4evo_1

edit: ~4 hours later it's at ~$1100
edit2: Looked at Dieminion's twitter. His goal is $1500 and will stop the donation drive once he hits that, and said he won't use the EMP/VxG tag at Evo.

Real talk: K-Brad, Popi and Xiao Han are all kinda mediocre and will be non-factors in six months. IMO smart money is that no Cammy mains are consistent enough to make it deep this year and top 8 will be loaded with the usual JP/Korean players, Xian and one or two Americans (Ryan Hart is an American for the purposes of this discussion).
