I can't speak for all of the object-transformation fetishists (especially since I'm not one), but in a lot of the cases I've seen it's been coupled with a humiliation or, for lack of a better word, nullification (making the other person non-sentient or otherwise 'useless', even sexually) fetish. Either the artist finds humiliating or nullifying others to be erotic, or they find the thought of having that done to them arousing. In other words, it's about the domination (either given or received), not the sexual act, as the erotic component.

But that one picture. That is worth it all. I don't get it. But drat, that is a piece of art. And by "art" I mean "all about me". And that appeals to my narcissism.

At least this artist has reasonably decent technical quality even if the subject matter is... not. I found out a friend of mine (on the internet, luckily) liked that sort of thing when I came across his DeviantArt account.
At first I thought, "Hey, all he does is post terrible gmod poses and Thomas the Tank, this can't be that bad!" but then I saw his favorites.

Oh god, his favorites.

It turned out that he commissioned more than twelve pictures of him as a pokemon being eaten by ponies or being inflated.

So, I tried to pretend that this never happened and still talked to him, until he started asking awkward questions such as "What would you do if you came across a pony twice your size?" :gonk:

Eh, it's not what you think.

It's a post-modern novel about life in modern Russia. Main character is numerology-obsessed banker. Pokemon imagery comes from his British girlfriend who considers replacement of your own personal identity by commercially developed characters to be highest duty of capitalist citizen. Hence her calling herself Meowth, and him Pikachu.

Let us, for a moment, acknowledge that vore fetishists equate vore with sex. It makes sense that some of them may enjoy having their victims struggle, as nonconsensual vore would amount to rape.

As for transformation, it's usually a matter of disempowerment and humiliation. Being turned into an inanimate object to be USED encapsulates both of these well.

It almost always comes down to power dynamics. For whatever reason, sex and power are closely entwined in our cultural psyche; basic dominant/submissive sex is among the simplest and "healthiest" expressions of that dynamic, but it's really just the tip of the psychological iceberg. Even fixations stemming from a fascination with embarrassment and shame can arguably be linked to social power and/or powerlessness in many cases. Fetishists fantasize about transforming people into objects because that fully and utterly disempowers the transformed and gives whoever acquires the object total power over them. They fantasize about foreverial delitization because that involves the delitizee completely losing or relinquishing all power, foreverially. They fantasize about vore because the eaten individual is rendered powerless, trapped within the eater, who has supreme power over them and eventually exerts the ultimate expression of power over another: taking his or her life.

Human sexuality is super interesting and weird.

Someone mentioned Russian novels.

quote:

This is based on a novella by Yuri Olesha called Envy. The Red Duck is Andrei Babichev, and the Blue Duck is Kavalerov. Red Duck is trying to force one of his sausages on Kavalerov, who is meekly offering a pillow in return, like Ivan Babichev was talking about. Volodya's football is sitting next to the couch where Kavalerov used to live. In the background, Ophelia is busting through some sort of room/sky thing.
