My office is in the front room of a run-down 12 megapixel sensor but the rent suits me and the landlord doesn't ask many questions.

That's rad, what part of the country is arid like that?

On a crazy long hike today between the altitude and general delirium, something clicked and I took my new favorite landscape.

Waiting for adobe creative cloud to finish downloading to my new imac then I can finally start editing my shots from Italy and the Greek islands. Big secret, lots of panoramas and old stuff.

Thanks! It's the desierto Tatacoa, in the southern part of the country, near Cali.

I really like this shot. Its impressive how clear the water is at 20 seconds!

First time really screwing around with photo stitching. Did I take these too far?

Those stitches are pretty cool Casu - I'm more fond of the first than the second. The distortion you get with a taller vertical stitch is a little confusing to look at with all the clouds, and it draws my eye right away from the rest of the photo and holds it hostage.

---

Just to temper the last few awesome posts with some Minnesota sunset, here's some clouds and corn :( Flickr of course made it more sharp than I wanted... is there a way to control that, or should I just export a less sharp version when I'm going to upload?

I think they are pretty good, the thing that bothers me a bit in each is the little bits of land you can see. I feel like they are kind of distracting. Other than that the sky is pretty amazing.

Thank you for the kind words. I think I'm gonna futz around a bit and see if I can clone out some of the extra bits of land.

Me too. But it was one of those "pull off to the side of a busy road and grab a shot quick" sort of things, and I didn't have my tripod handy for a longer exposure. :/

I should have used a tripod for these. Also I should have done way more IR when I was out there.

The bands of color at badlands really lends itself to all kinds of loving around with the sliders in Lightroom, someday I really want to spend more time there than the couple hours I spent there to get a break from driving on the interstate.

At least long enough to catch a sunrise and a sunset.
