You should probably keep PAD chat in one of the PAD threads, that's what they were made for after all!

You can blame Pocket Tactics for this, but here: https://itunes.apple.com/hk/app/safari-rescue/id664373304?mt=8 Safari Rescue. Free, universal, more than a bit mental. My helicopter just got eaten by a lion. Parkingtigers fucked around with this message at 18:35 on Aug 1, 2013 |

I helped get a game out the door today. It's free (w/in-app purchases,) iPad only, and here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/blocksworld-hd/id665886336?mt=8 It's a very silly building game/sandbox thing... I'd give more explanation about it but this video for the older Swedish version does all the necessary explaining. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8W7_SiRPvY For the record, you can now build airplanes that are possible to control.

mortons stork posted:Hello iOS games thread, I'm about to leave for vacation and I'm going to have long plane rides and bus segments, and I'd like a few suggestions on some little things to play during those segments beyond the usual endless runners and puzzle games. I was kind of looking at Xcom but 18€ is a pretty steep pricetag for throwaway entertainment during dead segments and I'd wager playing on a tiny iPhone screen is not optimal, so is there anything to scratch that turn based strategy itch? I'm not too worried about throwing a couple euros some dev's way so long as the game is not filled with iap bullshit. I'd also want to ask if there's any new neat puzzle games came out recently, as the most recent I own is the cut the rope expansion and the gimmick has gotten kind of tiring. Breach and Clear may scratch that itch, it's a basically a modern frozen-synapsy thing that, while totally not finished, is totally worth the two dollars they're charging. May annhilate your battery, however. Final Fatantasy Tactics: The War Of The Lions may do it, though it's somewhat pricey and also terribly, terribly japanese, wherein you have a game where the story exists on one plane of existence and the combat on totally another, but the combat, provided you don't over grind and over level and stay the right kind of level, is very, very fun.

Knightmare Tower reminds me of Jetpack Joyride in a way but with more interesting gameplay mechanic underlying it. Definitely worth buying.

The KR:F update is out and all of the old heroes are on sale for $2 off. I bought Nivus and Grawl because I absolutely love the game and the update seems pretty substantial. Sadly neither of them are nearly as awesome as Sha'Tra.

Rymdkapsel is awesome, but FTLoG don't accidentally Pause, talk to the kids, and inadvertently hit New Game instead of Resume. No confirmation. it just nukes your current game and starts a new one. Lost a good one I'd been playing for close to an hour.

If you liked super hexagon, or liked the idea of it but got crushed by it, you really need to try Pivvot. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pivvot/id664416929?mt=8 Fun fact: it's by Whitaker Trebella, the composer who did the soundtrack for Nimble Quest, and it's only the second game he has made since learning to program which is straight up bananas.

Check out Ravenmark, both the original single player Scourge of Estellion and the new multiplayer focused Mecenaries. It's one of the deepest and most interesting turn based strategy games on the iOS and the best medieval-style warfare game. I'm surprised more goons aren't talking about Mercenaries on here. Sometimes interesting games do get discussed, but this thread seems to be mostly about llama murder simulators.
