That interview with Julie was just precious. Implying that your favorite OS is iTunes is just awesome. I hope she continues working with start ups like this and they keep failing and she still gives interviews.

It seems like Visorman lost the good fight. There hasn't been a recent blip about it ever since he released some 2 map demo after the KS failed or whenever. It seems Polygon Gaming is back to RPG Maker according to his twitter account https://twitter.com/PolygonGaming_/ Didn't this guy have some tens of thousands of followers during his Visorman hype days?

Polygon Gaming @PolygonGaming_ 6 Jul @juhrman FINALLY got a card though the door for OUYA; seems I have to pay £14.25! I am outraged, for one I am a student and can't afford it. Polygon Gaming @PolygonGaming_ 6 Jul @juhrman For two it would have been cheaper to wait for retail! This item should be marked as a gift; why I should pay further for it? Polygon Gaming @PolygonGaming_ 6 Jul @juhrman This service is terrible. I have been slaving away the past 7 months DEVELOPING for this console, and this is the treatment I get? Julie Uhrman @juhrman 6 Jul @PolygonGaming_ we will refund this amount. Polygon Gaming @PolygonGaming_ 6 Jul @juhrman Thank you, that's good to hear. I assume you know where you're refunding to, or do you need my details/paypal? Polygon Gaming @PolygonGaming_ 9 Jul @juhrman Any idea when this refund is coming through?

In fact, our comments were removed because we reveled to much information about a $1.00 backer who as admitted he backed this project just to slander it. That Engadget interview is really, really bad. Twenty softball questions with no follow-ups and many specific opportunities to talk about the ways in which her open-source Android console will change the world, and the company she praises the most is...Apple? Not Ouya Inc., not Google, but Apple, whose tight-fisted business practices are a huge part of the landscape the Ouya is supposed to rebel against? She pauses a moment to praise the company who could, if it wanted to, put her entire organization out of business by releasing a competing product? Her comment about widgets makes it fairly clear she doesn't even use an Android phone... Now this is either Uhrman being scandalously stupid (always a possibility), or she's doing what every other CEO of a tech start-up wants to do: sell the company for scrap while parlaying her experience as CEO into a position with another firm. I have a feeling it's just a question of "when" instead of "if"...I just hope r/ouya is still around when Ouya, Inc. follows in the footsteps of Direct2Drive.

You're right, that was unfair to Madcatz. The Ouya controller is far worse than anything they've ever made.

PDP's insistence on putting LED's into everything they make is about as dated and out of touch as Ouya's marketing so they'd make a good fit.

How can anyone take an answer like that seriously? Only one of those things is an actual implementable thing! It's great that as an "idea guy" Julie gets to deal in abstractions like this but designers actually have to make products for the real world, and I don't think there is a super duper impact chip to slot into the Tegra 3. It seems like she really believes their bullshit aspirational marketing doublespeak, which would actually explain a great deal.

Only one of those things is an actual implementable thing! She's a marketing person who hasn't demonstrated a huge understanding of the technical side of things, so she defaults to buzzwords like "impactful". I mean, it's not hard to say "a nice, 10" tablet that has some really great home automation software" or something, but it's even less difficult to say "beautiful," "impactful," and "simple" instead of anything meaningful. She's the perfect CEO for your Kickstarter: All of the marketing experience and flash to know how to take your money, but none of the experience to do anything with it, leaving a wake of potentially deluded and absolutely disappointed "backers" in her wake.

I think it's equally likely that it's a overly zealous fan trying to prop up a product they've attached part of their identity to or an employee. Actually do you mean a thread on these forums? If they JUST registered to post that then probably an employee.
