Came here to post about the Moderat album. Going through my 2nd listen now and it's really awesome.

Moderat loving rules and it's one of the big reason why I like the Berlin Minimal scene so much. IMO, the electronic music coming out of Berlin is leaps and bounds better than everywhere else and it gets very little fan fair outside of Berlin, NYC, and Paris.

When I get some time, I will make a Minimal OP. I am sure we have some refugees in this thread that could sustain a new thread.

Anyone else go to hard summer? Duke Dumont, Breach (by far my favorite set), Mr Oizo and Claude Von Stroke were all loving incredible. The dirty bird players stage was just fantastic the entire day. Also, Gaspard Auge of justice was just walking around taking pictures with a dude of people sitting down. He was super quiet and kinda meek, it was a little strange meeting him.

Edit: that moderat album is dope as hell

Justin Martin was the standout act of the event. Baauer and Bassnectar also shined, as did Von Stroke. I wish Dillon Francis hadnt talked so loving much, it ruined what is normally a fun set. Disclosure was also fun, probably going to see them again in the fall.

Went to the Exchange Saturday but don't remember anything exceptional.

Jesus Christ, you nerds. You don't need to "know what you're talking about" to use the word "boogie". Here, let me translate for you: He wasn't using "classic boogie" as a specific genre term. He was just calling Crydamoure "classic", which they are, and "boogie", which is what they make you want to do.

But yes, actual boogie music is the bee's knees.

Vice has been really making GBS threads up their electronic themed youtube channel with a bunch of unfunny garbage and bad interviews. I assume this video is related to one of the vice channels in some way so people are just venting.

(I was really looking forward to an interview with Lil' Texas, and my jaw was loving dropped by how bad that horseshit was)

I was linked to a Noisey article the other night (Noisey is VICE's music branch) and it was abysmally bad, so I checked out some of their other stuff and, oh boy, probably the worse "professional" music writing I have seen in my life. Avoid like the plague.

That's good, yeah. I've got a somewhat decent library of deep/tech, I guess I wasn't specific on my request: I'm looking for tracks that'd be fun to play at burningman because of what they say or convey. For example: the Mushrooms track, chances are there will be at least a handful of people who will feel "touched" by the track if you know what I mean.
