Negotiate is basically the only way you're going to be able to escape from battles on hard, and Negotiate+ is a nice free heal that also removes ailments, which is handy if you don't have Dis-Poisons or Posmudi on hand. Buying Negotiate also opens up Chitchat which, while I haven't gotten much mileage from it, is especially useful for bosses since it makes them waste one of their Press Turns (or two with Chitchat+). I haven't used Plead, so I can't comment on that.

Right, but they made a Devil Survivor 2 anime and followed up shortly with Break Record. The same thing with Persona 4 Golden. Something involving Persona 3 is going to be inbound soon enough. Maybe even the true Persona 3 Portable with 3D graphics they originally intended to do. Of the list of planned Atlus games from 2010, we got 2 Etrian Odyssey, 2 SMT, and soon to be 2 Devil Survivors. The only thing missing from the list now is a Persona series game.

In SMT4 the app DLC can actually sort of break the game, since App points are the only thing that's just really limited in general. Useful apps: Extra slots - as much as you need. They're cheap so you can get a couple whenever you need them. I eventually went up to 20 because I was running out of spaces while setting up complicated fusions  MP gain 1,2,3 - These are expensive, like altogether something like 150 App points. They give your whole party MP gain while walking which is pretty cool, but to be honest if you just fuse MP giving skills and stuff you won't really need it. Scout bonuses - Get these early. Scout + is a chance to get 2 demons at once, and the gift and bonus make negotiation pretty cheap. Also get the one that makes scouting easier. It's funny to get a guy ask you for macca, then after scout+ kicks in you've made a profit. Skill slots - As needed, I didn't need a bunch until much later but you will eventually want the full 8 slots on your guy and the demons. I think everything else is more or less optional really.

The same thing happened with the early PS3, there was a tentative Shin Megami Tensei game listed for it, and that obviously never came to pass. That's not to say it never will happen, though, just that it's not guaranteed to.

SMTIV: I've been trying to be middling with Law/Chaos choices but somehow ended up *slightly* more Law, until siding with Walter over whether to side with or kill Lilith. After that decision I am neutral. Trying to stay neutral until the hard lock hits, what can I do from here to ensure that?

So after finishing SMT4, I decided to pick up Nocturne again. I hadn't gotten far before, only to Ginza. Does anyone have recommendations for demon negotiations in this one? Demons seem a lot more demanding in general and fickle than in 4, and I'm so early in the game it kinda hurts my resources to fail talks.

Since P4A had a obvious sequel-hook ending this isn't surprising. I'm happy about the announcement though, I liked P4A. For the guy who asked earlier it's probably still set during golden week. I wonder if it will be region-locked this time / delayed by a year here.
