Is anyone else having trouble with the enemies squished (shrink stomp) challenge? I squished a bunch of solders and that didn't get me anything so I squished a bunch of zen and that got me 1 out of 10.

e: I think you can only get credit for one per stomp and only when done on aliens.

e2: VVV welp, I know how I'm finishing the warden challenge now.

So, the best way to fight wardens has to be with a Baseball Bat or other Melee item.

If you get close without stunning them first they'll slam you back and you'll go flying back--but if you manage to hit them twice before they can hit you, they'll go flying back.

Way more fun than just shooting them like everything else.

I hope we get some kind of DLC that involves rescuing some other people hinted at as being alive. I feel bad for Zack and Bobby :( Also Jane Valderama is probably alive or she wouldn't bitch about her lovely studio and humanity's bleak future as much on K12.

Also man, the upgraded Dubstep gun is really powerful. Here I thought it was just a lovely gimmick! The fact that throwing blasts doesn't interupt the charge-up time on it is convenient because it basically makes Wardens a complete non-fight. Charge, freeze, wubwubwub dead.

It's definitely the most disappointing of the gimmick weapons. I mean, it just doesn't compare to the Abduct-o-matic (murders those big ball mechs,) dubstep gun or the black hole gun.

The guy you shoot gets stuck in the inflation animation, so you instantly take any of his damage off the table. Then pair it with the upgrade that makes him explode when he dies, and you can take out an intersection if he's near any cars.

Just a random guess, do you have a bunch of friends who play the game? I'm not sure you can just hop into a random open game, but there are menu options to join/invite friends.

I only have like four friends on Steam, just people I know in real life. And as far as I know you CAN, since that's the way the option literally reads.

1. For on foot, just get the tornado upgrade for sprint and run down sidewalks like a madman.
2. For TK, grab a ball and hold it in front while you do the same as 1. Lightning TK helps.

TK and Stomp Mayhem are easy as hell once you have the Vortex upgrade for Super Speed. Just run along sidewalks (while TKing a ball if necessary), rack up combo points, get gold.

The black hole gun one is a pain in the rear end, but I'm just going to come back once I've gotten the gun in free-range mode and can upgrade it. I'm assuming upgrades carry over to the mayhem gun.

Yeah but if you hit a car with the ball, that poo poo sets you on fire and stops you. It's terrible.

Exactly why you stick to the sidewalks.

And upgrades do carry over to the black hole gun. Still, with that one you somewhat need to prioritize the high value targets to some extent.

I can't bring myself to get the tornado upgrade. I don't want to gently caress the city up wherever I go. If I could turn it off once I buy it, yeah, I would in a heartbeat.

Also yeah I'm doing the same thing with the black hole gun. I tried that challenge like six times, could not get above silver to save my life. I've golded the TK mayhems the "right" way. I still don't know what I'm going to do about Mind Over Murder. I cannot gold that solo to save my life and I'd rather cheat than admit I can't do it without a co-op partner.

Starting last night I'm having a somewhat serious problem that is either being caused by SR4 or SR4 is just a symptom (and if it is it's the only program effected). It's been hanging in various menus, and when I shut it down in the task manager, SR4 won't restart, so I restart my PC and when it comes back, my second drive (where SR4 is installed) doesn't show up to windows, or to window's partition manager. Shutting down the computer all the way and bringing it back solves it, but this has happened three times already. Any idea what could be going on? The drive is a SSD, if that matters.

I agreed until I realized the way to ace it wasn't tossing those balls, but rapidly grabbing/throwing them and 'punching' poo poo with them repeatedly. Makes stuff blow up a lot easier than just hitting it once over and over.

Yep. You can also change the heavy pistol to That Gun from Blade Runner, and the rapidfire pistol to Han Solo's blaster or a phaser from Star Trek TOS. Also, the RPG gets a guitar case from Desperado.
