Everything he wrote has a historical analogue that is a bajillion times more interesting and dramatically satisfying than anything he's ever written. Dude didn't invent bloodshed and political intrigue, he just made it boring and embarrassing. Grrm is awful and you don't need him. Also the bad thread is not your toilet.

I could read Wikipedia but I would like something with a bit more pizazz. Anything I can find looks mostly like a romance novel. I've not softened on where it ended, a bunch of dodgy cliffhangers and deaths that will either write off four books worth of plot or set to be Deus exd away.
