Well, I liked A$AP Ferg and Rockys albums, so I'm interested in hearing this.

His golden run is covered by:

Dedication 2
Da Drought 3
Carter I
Carter II
Carter III (although some say his golden run ends right before the release of C3)

If you like that, there is plenty more to get into. He has a ton of music, especially mixtapes, of varying quality.

I used "caveman" as a reference because the drum patterns are real straight forward unsyncopated and the instrumentation on tracks like Lord and Let it Go sounds like something out of a b movie about cavemen fighting volcanos and pterodactyls and poo poo. As far as I know from listening to Ice Cube "caveman" has only ever been used as a pejorative against white people so I'm not sure how that was a red flag for trolling. And if people want to give me poo poo for using "primal" as a descriptor for music that's about sex, violence and machismo than so be it.

My favorite wayne albums:

Lights out - From 2000. All Fresh production. lots of fun.
The block is hot is very hit or miss for me. Loud Pipes. Watcha Wanna Do. Tha block is hot. High Beamin' are my favorite.

Carter 1 and Carter 2 are amazing.

I really like http://www.datpiff.com/Lil-Wayne-Blow-mixtape.1501.html which has terrible audio quality but it's lil wayne + Juelz. Get that bread. Rewind. Miami are my favorites.

Definitely check out "Block is Hot" if you want to hear a very young Wayne with plenty of back up from the classic Cash Money crew. Loud Pipes is one of my favorites too. But that is from before Wayne came into his own and really started polishing his rap personality/voice and figured out what he's good at... so yeah, it is kinda hit or miss and if you don't get nostalgic about Cash Money you might not like it at all.

Got hyped for Old, remembered the Brown/Gibbs collab that Danny talked about, the Return of the G cover. That poo poo will be rad.

I searched for previous Brown/Gibbs collabs but coulnd't find any, though they were both on the same compilation last December.

He's got the whole 'hiding behind a mask' thing going on right now. The only info out there is that Spark Master Tape is just the main rapper on all these songs really, but he's got a group with his own beat maker / producer / etc. Maybe he's just a nerdy white kid from the suburbs, v:v:v.

Anyhow he kind of hinted at dropping another album during the winter so I'm pretty hyped for that.

It seems like people either didn't like this album or it just gets lost in the shuffle. I personally loved it and thought it was the closest Em was to MMLP. Royce was fantastic as well.

Weird question, but I was wondering if anyone could help me find a version of the Big Pun song "How We Roll" that has both the original beat (sampled from Janet Jackson's Let's Wait A While) and the chorus from Ashanti (or some other female singer) instead of the kids choir or whatever it is. I might be crazy, but I think this version also has "terror squad is the largest" rather than "big pun is the largest" in the chorus. Thanks in advance guys.

Yeah it's pretty cool if you want to hear two real skilled MCs just trade meaningless bars for 60 minutes.
