For the people like me that enjoy reading Viscant talk fighting games, he's doing a Reddit AMA. Posting it here because it will mostly be Marvel talk I'm sure. http://www.reddit.com/r/MvC3/comments/1k0f6v/i_am_an_evo_champion_the_pope_of_purity_music/

Streaming now, got a lot of good New York players here, Alukard's playing right now, but we have Yipes, Flux, DragonGod and others here playing: https://www.twitch.tv/dork_rex And the bracket: http://challonge.com/SaltySunday5

Just wanted to toss it out there that I really dig that you go to the effort to stream these for everyone. If you wanna get better at the game on the sly, there's no better stream for hearing players talk and explain action. Obviously, some pretty good players as well.

I've lost to Joes in tournament at least twice. Once he gets his bullshit started fullscreen, there's basically nothing you can do. Goddamn red Voomerangs.

Got the Vita version for ten bucks on the PSN Store and I'm loving it a lot. Odd that I had it on the 360 for a year, but loving it more in portable form.

I've been rolling Deadpool with Dr. Doom and Nova for awhile, but I want to try some different back-ups for Deadpool. Is it worth trying to add someone like Akuma and then swapping out to Deadpool after bursting down their point man? Deadpool seems to be the point man himself for most people.

Deadpool is strongest on point imo. His assists aren't that good and he can deal with rushdown characters reasonably well provided he has the right assists backing him up. I would recommend Deadpool/doom missiles/Akuma tatsu if you want to run Akuma. You get missiles to bolster your zoning game with deadpool, and you get tatsu as a 'get off me' assist. Plus, Akuma is a very strong anchor.

Remember how one of the drawbacks of TAC infinites were that your opponent usually gets full meter too? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYQAYBrtg7g Also apparently the deal with the grounded special move is that if you set up the same timing as a traditional rejump TAC infinite, but instead cancel the normal when you're about to land, you get a ground special and don't get counted as being on the ground. If you can flight cancel or jump cancel that move, you can keep the infinite going. Just one more thing for Chris G to drop in tournament and blame on anything but himself.

It doesn't *actually* drain meter, it just leaves them with whatever amount of meter they had when you started the combo. Still absolute broken bullshit, though.

Yeah it looks like about 15% net meter drain per loop.

I just spent two hours doing Sentinel's mission 10 and I have this to say: gently caress mission mode.

Ha, Sentinel's is easy. Wait till you try cap's or jill's mission 10. There are a lot of bullshit missions in this game.

# ? Sep 9, 2013 14:24 |

I didn't have any problems with Jill's, it's just the last half of Sent's combo is all one or two frame links and I had a lot of trouble getting the timing down. His reminds me a lot of an SF4 mission actually.

You can't fish-hook him Barring an assist like Haggar, if Spencer's within fish-hooking range then I honestly think there cease to be "smart" options. Best strategy is to use your huge zoning advantage to try and ensure that never happens. If he does close, throws are probably going to be your best shot as zips and overheads are throwable on block. I suppose that getting your spells up to lvl3 during the neutral game can also give you a good escape as well, but that's the case in every matchup so that's nothing new.
