I'm also starting to think that letting Hazard take all the free kicks and all the corners was going to happen anyway.

Since there aren't any games this week, and I'm bored at work, I'll talk about the latest scandal!!

Turns out the Gent supporters are upset, because the first 12 rows of 'the kop', aren't allowed to stand up for some bizarre reason. Now there's a huge discussion between fans who want to stand up and sing and dance, and those who rather sit down a bit while watching the game.
As you can expect from Gent fans, the discussions taking place on Facebook and other fora, happen in a polite, well-behaved manner. Where both sides respect eachother and throw out different arguments each time, in stead of resorting to name calling. nobody agrees. The ones who'd like to sit down for a couple of minutes while watching soccer, are told to gently caress off and go and sit in the family stands. The ones who want to stand up and have fun are told they suck at making fun and should come up with some new things.

I am looking forward to the next game in the Ghelamco arena :allears:.

And personally, maybe if the team played a bit better, there'd be more guys jumping and singing etc...

At least the Gent fans aren't trying to hold your chairman hostage or wrecking offices, I guess.

And because I didn't get to the transfer thread in time to do this:

My Team: Total mess of a transfer season. I don't think I need to go over the Malanda/Hazard mess. Worse is the loss of Delaplace, though. When they played without him last year, the quality of the game dropped visibly. Loaning out Hinostroza and Trajkovski I just don't understand. I think selling Lendric was also a bit premature. That said, signing Conte has paid off already. Kums will be nice. I'm not sure what to think about Dury's shopping spree in France, but at least we've got someone to replace Berrier and Leye.

Who's had the best window?: Standard, it seems. It shows. I think Club and Anderlecht didn't do that bad either.

Worst window?: Genk.

Best buy?: Carcela, I guess? Mitrovic and De Sutter are up there too. I'd have to consult Belgend, but maybe TIMMY SIMONS?

Funniest moment: The 180° Standard's fans will be making/are making. Alternatively, I just read that Habibou once threw a duck? Habibou, don't throw ducks.

Most frustrating moment: Babby Hazard.

First trainer fired, whoo! But what club? Bergen or Oostende, joint last with 2 points? Another team that's (much) lower than they want to be at this point?

No! It's Club Brugge, in second place right now with 17 points out of 21!

Why? Who knows, maybe they're just used to firing someone every year.

I watched the Wigan game and it seemed to me that Hazard's lil bro is also a pretty good footballer, not Chelsea material yet maybe, but pretty good nonetheless. Or he just stood out in a game played on mud and rain.

A good day for football all around, though Standard not winning would've made it perfect.

Actually, I couldn't watch the Waregem-OHL match because literally nobody was streaming it? So, I just watched the Sporza comment track and knew exactly what was going on - our usual schtick of stumbling and crashing through games in a reasonably entertaining fashion, refusing to score goals unless we have to.

Have a happy Kompany I stole from gifman.

e: scratch that, Genk have just equalised so it's just Zulte being utterly poo poo right now. Great.

Coincidentally, I was in Bruges yesterday and a bunch of Standard fans came up to me and asked where the station was... while we were standing next to the station. Not the brightest lads, those rouges.
