lol there's 90 of them now. I'm not gonna listen to all of them, but I really liked Spyro's, Nocturnal's, Kahn & Neek's, Deeco's, Spooky's, JME's 2nd dub, and Flava D's 3rd. Also, head's up: TONIGHT Faze Miyake hosts #WarDubsOnRinseFM with Sir Spyro, Footsie, Rude Kid, Jammer & Teddy, each producer going head-to-head in a two hour long showdown. It's to be a special one (0100-0300 BST). Definitely tuning in to that one.

The guy who wrote that is sort of silly. Ruff Sqwad obviously didn't do that beat, it was Rapid. Anyways, Spyro's first dub is 5/5 so gently caress that guy. EDIT: And that Swindle beat is alright, but it is not clashin' anybody at all. Just sort of does its own thing. The Faze Miyake show last night was really funny and Teddy really sent for Thomas Mellor by saying he knew that Mellor had his beat already made months before.

Saw Phaeleh last night, it was nice, although they had him in an opening slot for some reason? I was only able to see him for 40 minutes. He had the girl from Snow Ghosts doing live vocals. The guy after him was some generic lovely tech house DJ and played that Breach song five minutes into his set, I hastily made my way towards the door after that poo poo.

Sort of UK Bass related. Saw Icicle last week, was a great show (the openers were solid, but I'm biased as they are part of EXBC), Icicle's set was a good split of styles although I left before he played techno. Found out about his techno alias Cadans, I'm pretty sure I've heard him play some of this stuff on his Rinse FM show, and I'm wondering who are some similar style artists to explore. Here's the EP: http://darkoesser.bandcamp.com/album/cadans-subdominant-ep-balans012 And, kind of along these lines, if any of you remember Cosmin TRG's last EP on Tempa (here: http://www.beatport.com/release/now-you-know/215074), who are some similar artists to this style of house or whatever it is?

Rude Kid's recent ones have been nutttts. The Midnight Request Line flip was insane and the one with all the JME samples was deadly. I like the devil mix but it's not on the same level. Plus you can't respond to two sends with one dub!

I liked Skream's a lot, don't get me wrong, but Rude Kids had so much more going on and imo it works way better as a war dub. If anyone picks this up I definitely suggest nabbing any of the old Pure garage comps. Probably 50p from the local car boot sale or Oxfam nowadays as they were pretty popular way back. Oh and Spooky's got a vinyl only EP out the end of next month, some familiar tunes on there. https://soundcloud.com/ghosthouserecords/ghost-house-dubz-v2

If we've got any Parisian goons, I'm headed to batofar on Friday for the UK bass night (murkage crew I believe?) Super excited, went to Razzmatazz in Barcelona a couple nights ago when sound pellegrino and Julian McLean (could totally be spelling his name completely wrong I don't remember it) and that was great.

I got to admit I never really figured on a pairing of dBridge and Keith Tenniswood, but hey it works. This dBRm stuff has got some real backbone in it, proper dirty swagger. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lK7-Dqp5Ywc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HD7036R8ak https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pguheLC366U The general UK House thing still blows hot and cold for me, though recently more hot I gotta say. The recent Kismet release on Radford's Audio Rehab Recordings was great. Totally murdered the other artists on the release. He gets it, make the highs higher, make a proper downlow bassline and just rough it a bit. Bleep Bleep Mash Mash it how it's supposed to go. loving digital though, blah. Anyway another old name back on the blocks is former Garagist Ed Case (seriously check his Locked On Sound of the Pirates mix) under the State Unknown banner. Probably more Darlington than auf Deutsch which is how it should be really. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aj5pApOXBb4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZIDfE-Te94 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oxD0pwZKKs

Well I went to a Zeds Dead concert in DC last weekend and the US rave scene is pretty funny. I don't think I've ever seen so much rear end and titties hanging out in my life. The amount of LEDs and crazy hats and outfits was unreal. Robotic fart noises till the sun rises baby.

^^ "robotic fart noises" - not quite the music/scene for this thread. Forgot to mention I went to my first reconstrvct (the one with GetDarker) and that was a religious experience. That and Output are absolute musts if you're in NYC. Went to a Hessle Audio night at Output and that place's system sounded absolutely gorgeous. Only regret was not doing Cielo, but that's just another excuse to go back.

Life has been (and will be) pretty amazing lately in Chicago with the amount of UK Bass shows coming around. I went to the Hessle Audio showcase a couple weeks ago at SmartBar and it was just downright spectacular. I somehow managed to convince 6 of my friends to go with me too, and all but one liked the dark-bass-techno-jungle-house stuff they were playing. There are a bunch of upcoming shows that I cannot wait for either: Disclosure (hate me), Actress, Skream (99% chance of disco), Cosim TRG, Claude Von Stroke, Salva/Sinden/Nadastrom. I'm super stoked for the new Special Request album to come in from chemical-records, the wait is killing me. R&S just released this new video for Tessela's "Nancy's Pantry", great song with a weird(but good) video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73CxikmMHPo

Let future generations learn of his most ultimate trolling acts! Anyway, latest thing you guys should grab is the recent EVM128 release on the ever reliable Somethinksounds records. A terribly clinical artist name hides a pair of wonderful soulful Garagey/Broken vocal numbers(Respect getting my nod). On the flip side we have a solid wee skanker of an El-B remix, alongside a darker, pulsing remix by Artifact.

Saw bare noize last night. In the middle of all the brostep he dropped Jehova's Witness by Rusko and no one in the crowd was vibing with it. poo poo was whack so I tweeted at bare noize saying that dropping that was awesome and it made my night and he gave me a shout out over the mic a little later in the night. No deep bass shows ever come through DC, all this brostep is bringing me down.
