It's like they just threw in two completely incompatible ideas for the hell of it.

One of the permissions when installing is that the extension can "access your data on all websites." Is there an addon that will automatically fix character encoding issues? When somebody's dumb website sends code:

If there isn't a specific addon for this, is there a general purposed find and replace addon?

Alternatively, just set the encoding manually. The menu is just under Tools. Chances are changing it to UTF-8 from Western or vice versa will fix it.

That's not the problem I'm trying to fix. Something on the backend gets sent wrong, and the server sends literally ’ because that's what's stored in their database.

If I'm using Chrome in Windows 8 mode, and I'm streaming audio or video, it pauses the playback when I switch to another app. Is there a way to stop it from doing that? I have Chrome set to run in the background, but that seems to only work with Desktop mode.

So I was thinking about browsing with a gamepad and after some googling it looks like chrome has that functionality natively. Or is that just for browser games?

I've run into a weird problem with Youtube and the script "Youtube Center" I loaded with Tampermonkey. Every time I load a video, it starts to load, then stops and reloads the whole page again. This often leads to getting maybe a second or two of video and audio during the initial load, then it stops and reloads and starts again. Annoying as gently caress. Anyone else experience this and have a fix, other an "disable Youtube Center?" Which I might do, since this load->reload thing is more annoying than the stuff I got Youtube Center to fix (like being able to pause a video and have the whole drat thing load, which I guess is one of the things that got
