I remember some pre season tourney here in UY was defined in that shootout style sometime in the 90's. It was pretty fun but still the worst thing ever, somehow.

This is Parker's Piece in Cambridge. It's a big green field, which if you walk through at night you might get stabbed/hit with a stick. In the day a lot of people play football on it. It's especially interesting as it's where the rules of Association football, as we know them, were used for the first time. They put a literal bin with a plague on it there to celebrate this fact this year, and took a picture with someone who looks famous but isn't.

I've always loved the idea of playing on this football field: There's also a documentary about it, I'm not sure but I think it is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU4oA3kkAWU Not sure if the link is working, I'm on my mobile.

I don't understand why people prefer penalties over shootouts.

I was an oxbridge candidate but when I went on my tour I forgot a code I needed to get through a door and didn't make it to a q&a. Went to pizza hut instead and decided to go to uni by the seaside and play football and drink for 3 years.

Every single one of those could have been made with a simple chip over the keeper, yet no one did.

MLS used to do this and I remember seeing a guy doing one of these get fouled by the goalie inside the box. They then had him shoot a regular penalty kick
