i wanna make a "the buttcracker" that's just fat guys with their pants falling down trying to do ballet

i wonder what the process was that resulted in the selection of indiegogo for their washed up electric rock band to end up on indiegogo vs kickstarter

wow lol can you imagine how pissed you'd be if you donated 100$ for an album from a band you liked 10 years ago and it fell so short of funding that they clearly don't intend to do it?

gonna agree with that bastion of journalism "metal sucks", but i agree with that article and think its applicable to a lot of artists. honestly if this had been a better done kickstarter i'd have donated, i liked orgy in 2000 when i was 14 and blue monday was a new song and they had jrpg characters bouncing in air castles for a music video

scsi cdroms were always rare and expensive. you found them on unix workstations and like $25k macintoshes and that's about it

really early PC CDROMs used proprietary busses. later ones used IDE/PIO or ATAPI. they still used SCSI-like commands, but they weren't SCSI electrically and didn't have SCSI-grade brains.

at no point was scsi like, a default choice, unless it was an external CD-ROM in an enclosure

i went out of my way back in the day to get a cartridge-loaded SCSI CD-ROM

i think it was like 2x or something in the days when 8x was the norm

but i had to spend extra time loading a caddy to put in so it was sooo cooool

in college i knew a dude who was obsessed with scsi. he had like 11 scsi hard drives in his pc. running some esoteric UNIX and covered in anime poo poo of course

all his drives were like 500 MB or 850 MB or whatever because he could only afford used equipment. i knew about this because he naturally told everyone he met

i think i had more capacity in a single, lovely IDE disk than his entire tower of crapola

it used to be that you could get used SCSI hard drive arrays from companies for super cheap thats probably why. like getting em for 4 bucks a drive

i'm pretty sure that since everyone who can enter is already getting something else it doesn't count (even the starting $1 pledge gets a track as a reward).

it's pretty much on the level of having toys with happy meals except only one of them sold will have a really nice one
