tobu posted:Roadkill rocks. They didn't spend nearly enough time in Australia. gently caress me, I willingly bought a 2002 LW200 THE W STANDS FOR WAGON for $12k in 2003 or 2004 prior to moving to Corpus Christi, TX for some work. I wanted a vehicle that I could put a ladder on and carry a decent amount of tools in, but I didn't want a large truck with lovely fuel economy. I really wanted a nice tacoma or T100, but the ones I wanted were out of my price range at the time. The LW200 seemed perfect at the time. As it turns out it was a great decision and that motherfucker handled everything I threw at it, even while having a clogged cat for 10,000 miles or so. Losing 10mph on the hills of Corpus Christi highways was a most excellent form of terror. I remember trying to use the cruise control in those situations and having the car loving redline itself on the hills hahaha. I bought some panduit and U-bolts and attached them to the rack on top to form what turned out to be a very sturdy ladder rack. I carried about 150 lbs of tools and gear in the back of her while I tromped around The Body of Christ and installed wireless point to point/point to multipoint systems for customers. I even loaned that fucker to a friend of mine for a while, who I know drove it way harder than I ever did. It all turned out okay in the end when I traded it in for $2k towards the purchase of a 2005 B6 A4 Ultrasport in 2009. The only non-routine maintenance I had to deal with was the catalytic converter and a water pump. The color of the car was SILVER BLUE METALLIC and I often hated it for being so feminine, but she served a very manly purpose for most of my time with it. Lots of tools, antennas, dirt, burritos, caulk, drugs, sweat, and a few nice cigarette burns in the seats. That had to have been the manliest saturn station wagon ever produced. I think this fits the forum's title well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rG37k8lD9Y A local news crew films as a mentally retarded and/or high man passes out in his large modified Dodge Ram pickup on the side of the highway, drooling onto his lap. Some worker from Georgia's Department of Transportation (why is a DoT truck sponsored by State Farm?) arrives, tries to talk to the guy, the guy speeds off aggressively and recklessly, then impacts other cars hard. Oh then he awkwardly hobbles around and flees the scene before police arrive. Michael Scott fucked around with this message at 04:32 on Oct 22, 2013 |

I hear at the end someone say "He's a diabetic", it could be true as crashing diabetics sweat profusely and can act like aggressive drunks.

tobu posted:Roadkill rocks. They didn't spend nearly enough time in Australia. I have a 2003 Saturn L200. I have replaced the entire brake system, my A/C doesn't work, the structural element of the headliner is falling down, my key fob works at best 5 feet away, my center brake light keeps going out, wheels have fallen off the car while driving, the front suspension, the entire front suspension has been replaced 3 times, my speedometer has stopped working, loving with the transmission, and I have had to replace the entire windshield wiper transmission. But my sunroof, it works like the day I got it. I can't think of a more backwards car. Edit: oh that nice Saturn badge in the screenshot on the steering wheel. That decided to just disappear one day. rcman50166 fucked around with this message at 00:15 on Oct 23, 2013 |

As someone who's done enough drugs to kill most countries that just screams disassociative drugs to me (especially the way he hobbles). Too long acting to be N2O, I'd guess a bunch of ketamine or DXM. Ketamine is fairly short acting, but it's very intense (but who the gently caress does a rail of K while driving?!). PCP is pretty drat rare these days. DXM usually left me too incoherent to handle 3 pedals. Ambien has been known to make people act similarly, and it lasts for several hours. Also doesn't seem to be a modified Ram - looks like a bone stock 3500 to me? It could be diabetic shock too - if you're right on the edge of passing out from it, you can get really aggressive. randomidiot fucked around with this message at 08:33 on Oct 24, 2013 |
