Anyone get a chance to confirm this?

You get 20RP for filling the singing bar. I don't know how quickly that can be done, but if it's once per minute and you leave the game on for 8 hours (with a wired controller), you would gain 9600 RP. That's like completing 3 high-end jobs or 3-4 runs of Criminal Record races.

If you can complete X amount of RP bonuses per minute, just multiply my number by X.

It doesn't sound very significant or efficient.

Roughly the same speed as the Carbonizzare, with much better grip and handling. The real seller, though, is this: It's rear engine, 4WD. Beautiful offroad speed and amazing control. Love this thing.

I have to disagree. The 9f stat bars show that it has higher traction (And it is AWD), but it also is a lot more likely to understeer. I find that the Carbonizarre is a lot better of an actual car in a race as it has a lot better balance and control in corners.

Nope. Online and Single player stunt jumps are tracked separately. IMHO they are a good deal harder to do online, because you lose the slow motion effect that makes it easier to keep the car under control and you can't save and reload to retry a jump.

I've done them all, and this is no lie. You get the inverted camera angles, but not the slo-mo OR the exceptionally helpful use of Franklin's special to line up the jumps.

Some of them are exceptionally difficult and/or vague in their 'goal' of where you're supposed to be landing. The one that jumps into the prison from the cliff to the south (#14 or #17) about drove me insane.

No loving poo poo.

gently caress that jump. I eventually did it by landing a car at high speeds over both fences in between the guard tower and the left side of the prison. Go too slow and you clip the fence and fail, go too fast and you clip the portable building and fail. 2 yards left and you clip the guard tower and fail, 2 yards right and you clip the prison building proper and fail. Too bad none of those obstacles can be seen from the run up before you leave the ground, because of the terrain angle. I consider it dumb luck if you hit it.

I must have done that one 50 times, no exaggeration. Beyond that I don't think any jump took more than 5 tries, most took 1 or 2.

My 9F, fully-modded, oversteers quite a lot. But in a controllable way, so much so that I can functionally drift corners in it while keeping speed. It's been in my garage since I got one, but I rarely drove it because it was a convertible and I cared about losing money. Now I could care less and drive it constantly.

Oh jesus I forgot about that one (I got lucky and hit it on my second try). The cost of failure for either of those 2 was, bare minimum 5 minutes and probably a death, not including setting up for the jump again.

Oddly enough, the one that took the most tries was fairly innocuous that had you running up from a tunnel downtown and ramping onto the highway. I hit that fucker at least a dozen times before it finally gave me credit with no indication about what I was doing wrong. Too far? Too short? Left / Right? It's a 4 lane highway!

All the lists that I have seen are from the master IGN list which is really, really questionable on a lot of things. The numbers aren't quite right on a number of cars. The list doesn't even note that there are multiple models of the same cars, like the Baller where each model has different stats.

There isn't that I have seen.

Anecdotally, the center of gravity does change the car's handling, lowering a car does seem to change the way it handles, so the roof thing may very well be true.

The lists also don't note whether a car is FWD, RWD or AWD, which really dramatically change the way a car handles. I flipped a bunch of them over to check which wheels were powered.

Hell, not all AWD cars are even the same, the Obey 9f is AWD but has a completely different distribution of power to the wheels than the Elehy RH8. The Elegy distributes power far more evenly between front and rear tires compared to the 9f which favors the real wheels. This is really really apparently if you play around with both of them in the rain. Sliding sideways or backwards the Elegy can peel out all 4 tires while the 9f only primarily does the back two.

All in all I think the vehicles and they way they function is a lot more detailed than anyone thinks it is.

I know it accurately models weight distribution and traction between all 4 tires during breaking, accelerating and turning. This is one of the reasons that pubbies, as a whole, drive so badly. Understanding the actual physics involved with weight transfer and tire friction really allows you to drive significantly better in this game, and most games don't do this level of detail outside of games like Gran Turismo or other dedicated racing games.

Two tips for the wise:
1. Buy an AK-97 assault rifle.
2. If there's someone hanging around your neighborhood you don't know, shoot him.
This seems to be a better way of getting cop cars in your garage, because it worked for me, when that YouTube video didn't:

http://gtaforums.com/topic/634134-cop-cars-in-garage/ posted:

Guide:

1. Find desired car, like a cop car (high end NPC and other player vehicles will not work)

2. Steal it and lose your wanted level

3. Destroy the driver side door off the vehicle (with the driver door open, ram it against a pole or other car for example)

4. Take the car to your garage, park it just shy of the "walking into garage" cut scene trigger point.

5. Get out of car, if no cutscene initiates get back in and INCH the car forward, repeat step 5 until car is in your garage. If done right you should see a cutscene with you driving the desired vehicle in

The main annoyance with the armored vans is that they don't have armored tires and the cops can and likely will knock out 2-4 tires on the chase. :(
