I'm like you,
I have no shame.

The gay rumours thing is pretty lame and goes a way a short while into the shows.

I actually love Seth's relationship to the US. He really loves it I think, he sounds so sincere when he talks about apple pie and malteds or whatever. He really has a hardon for nostalgia, but at the same time he is also sarcastic or whatever. He's one of those people who are just loving funny even if they're not making jokes, bitter Seth is hilarious.

Jonathan is mostly funny because of the strange sitches he get himself into, and he has a lot of fun stories.

I think this was really funny. Half the time it's a notable B-list celebrity of times past with a sort of D-list TV actor and the way Seth doesn't even really say "gay," just stuff like "yeah all laughing... slapping..." was funny as all get out.

I think Zach Quinto/AC was one of those things where it was only a secret in that everyone knew, but they just didn't talk about it.

Are you referring to Jah!nathan's poetry? They're referencing Jah, which is the name for God in Rastafarianism. I believe Jonathan mentions early on that his poetry was written when he was heavy into the Rasta movement but if you haven't gotten there yet, don't worry, it becomes a recurring theme pretty quick.

I listened to 325 again today. One of the strongest episodes on my re-listen so far. Near the opening, Jonathan brings up the dancing guy who puts money in parking meters and later Seth calls back to it and suggests that we're not allowed to do that because They want us to turn on each other.

Offensive Clock
Just made it past 150 on my first time through the show. I really wish I had kept some sort of rating system going so I know what my favorite episodes are in retrospect. There are so many bits that I died laughing to that are lost to the (what the white man calls) wind because there is just SO MUCH loving PODCAST. At least there are youtube clips which form a sort of best of, but with the sheer amount of funny clips, the youtube clips only scratch the surface.

All I can remember is that the two times they dip into craigshouse around ep~70-85 or so and then of course the 120s are magical. Also I remember a pretty awesome streak of shows around the 30s. Maybe some day I'll do another listen through more carefully. That'll be a long time from now, though.

Anyone know which episode it was exactly, it was definitely in the first ~75-85 block of craigshouse episodes, where J-Dawg compares the craigslist crazy people's writing style to bebop scat poetry? To which seth starts ad-libbing scat-like: "Skiddat scat! Cock in my ear, whoa! Racoons in the trees! All the hip cats and and the kitties, sweet double hitness. Cum on my knees. Cum all over my knees!"

Yes I listened to it over and over so much I pretty much have memorized it, but I forgot what episode it is. If anyone remembers, please tell me. Also, someone really, really needs to make a youtube clip if it isn't one already.

How big is the fanbase now? I'm still listening at the beginning where they don't even know if anyone is listening at all, except Jah's Mum who gets annoyed when he always has to bring things back to child rape. It's kinda endearing, but then with the OP so much of that cool art fans have done for them, I'm guessing it's pretty drat big by now? Thousands listen to each new ep?

I've heard around 50 thousand people for each episode before, but not sure how legit that is. Think they hint towards that kind of figure on their WTF interview. It's got to be a pretty sizeable number just based on how many live shows they're able to do around the country.
