So ZUN just tweeted he's releasing another game at Winter Comiket(29-31 December). No demo this time. Off the top of my head I'd say this is either more photography or "MINOR CHARACTER'S EXCITING ADVENTURE" again.

Kogasa in a MGS-knockoff where the goal is to sneak up on someone through their danmaku and surprise them.

A game starring Seija where the point is to collide with all the danmaku.

A game where you play as Kyouko and have to deliver the sickest burns possible without the Buddhist shrine getting damaged, charging and aiming your lines to bust danmaku A game where you have to aim Nitori's extending arm in a straight line through multiple danmaku Touhou pong?

Cirno's a minor character and no tired jokes or beating of dead horses is gonna change that, sorry guys. Anyway in a stunning return to form the game will be a breakout/arkanoid derivative.

Someone made a great "This is Halloween!" parody in MMD staring Touhou characters. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22153318 Unfortunately, they used a Marilyn Manson cover of the song, so I took the liberty of redubbing it to the original. original video in corner/audio original audio only

A Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my all-time favorite movies, and seeing a Touhou homage done so brilliantly close to the original is just wonderful. I especially like Yukari as the Mayor of Halloween Town, it fits so perfectly. Thanks for linking this!

Sorry about that. Oh well, shows me how stupid immediately spreading news is. At the very least I wasn't getting my hopes up since I assumed it'd be a small game anyway. Still, nice of ZUN to promote other's games like that. Hopefully there'll be less incomplete games rushed out for release this Winter. Surprised by the amount of them that had day 1(and 2, and 3,etc...) patches and were completely broken otherwise. I'd say something about development cycles here but I have no idea how these people work anyway.

Doujin circles need to make Comiket/other con releases and they're not exactly rolling in programmers. Of course they have to rush stuff. Most of the time it's not that bad anyways, HM was probably the worst case in quite a while.

DrSunshine posted:Are Touhou's hats where they store their vital organs, like cephalopods? They're more like the colourful plumage used by birds to attract mates. The more inexplicable and surreal a Touhou's hat is, the more successful they are in love. Those who have already mated may shed the hat at a later date, though they may grow back a vestigial ribbon.

I was listening to the Buso Renkin OP song today and felt like drawing something hotblooded. Final ... Master... SPAAAAAARK! EDIT: I don't know what those rectangular shaped things are, by the way. Confetti or sparks or something I guess. George Morikawa seems to put them in really intense fight scenes in Ippo, so I gave them a try!

Pureauthor posted:What's the difference between half-full and half-filled? The idea is to get a value-free assessment of the glass while still sounding natural. The whole idea about the glass test in pop culture and stuff is basically to see if a person thinks positively or negatively by saying the glass is half full or half empty. Only, in English at least and probably most languages really, it's kinda hard to impossible to describe anything without any value judgements that either reveal the speaker's disposition or influence the listener's disposition. So the attempt at a value-free assessment while still sounding natural invariably ends up sounding like "the glass is half full" anyway whereas something more explicit like "the glass' liquid content is 50%" is something nobody would ever say. Fake edit: Hashtag Yoloswag posted:It's a pun on Keine's history-altering abilities. I don't see it but maybe I am just hella overthinking a simple joke who knows.
