But I'm at least 1/2 Polish and roughly 1/4th German from the perspective of ancestry, and I've been on a European history binge recently. As long as you're spending the points on two TO FOs why not also get something that can use FO effectively? You could field Fusileers with Light Grenade Launchers for 15pts and 1 SWC each or a Clipper with a Guided Missile Launcher for 34pts and 1 SWC. If you could trim a bit more fat you could also slide a Knight Montessa with a LGL in there. If placed dead center on the board with Mechanized Infantry he is no more than 34" from any point on the table and has the following percentages to hit with no line of sight necessary if the target is hit by an FO; 85% for 0-16" (In nearly all the ITS scenarios every objective will be within this zone) 55% for 16-24" and 40% for every other spot on the table. With two hidden FOs backed up by the Sniper your opponent will be walking on eggshells trying to make his way up the board while you casually take objectives. Something like this would be a hoot to play. MILITARY ORDERS ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 9 0 0 KNIGHT OF MONTESA Combi Rifle + Light Grenade Launcher / Pistol, AP CCW. So as someone who's slowly building a PanO force, and planning to force my friends to come along with, would http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1621774283/battle-systemstm-sci-fi-modular-terrain be a good terrain option? As it's setup it's indoorsy and not really like what I've seen so far for Infinity, but the different wall sections + little boxes would presumably be usable without creating rooms with them, ie scatter them about for a battlefield.

I'm sceptical. This pic looks OK, but generally you'd need a shitton of random cover - crates, furniture, raised areas you can dive behind, etc.

# ? Nov 2, 2013 22:43 |

It looks like it does come with a bunch of stuff, and it looks like the stretch goals are going to be mostly extra little things. For example it comes with 15 of those crates that they only appear to be using 3 of in that picture. That's quite a few crates you can throw around to block LoS here and there. I suspect by the time it's funded it'll come with more than enough little stuff. The most annoying thing to me are the little acrylic clips that you can't see well in the pictures but are more noticeable real life, but this seems to pull it off much better than that terraclips terrain that wyrd games did (mostly because the walls cover up all the clips holding the floor tiles together).

That terrain looks nifty, not sure how playable it is though as it's sort of hard to make anything out, you know? Has anyone got the Bandua terrain stuff yet? One of the guys in our club is going to pick some up, but I'd love to see it in-person or on a photograph that isn't advertisements. Really want that dragon to be an LFT or something.

That's a bit unfair. I didn't say the game shouldn't have female models, I said it shouldn't have some/most of the female models be ridiculous pin-ups. That's a slight exaggeration, but the point is that while the male models ('buff white space dudes') are a juvenile power fantasy, too many of the female models are weirdly sexualised. This discussion never ends well.

Finally gave my Marut a decent spin against JSA, and it performed admirably. Backed by an Agema, it just wasted anything that came close. It fried two Domarus in a single flamethrower burst when they tried to charge it, exploded a ninja hacker who decloaked to try and hack it but failed due to the high BTS, then won a FtF roll against another ninja, a sniper, who tried to plug it from across the board. Sadly, Penthesilea made her debut in the same game and didn't get to do anything, as the opponent sacrificed his MSV2 remote to rush up and flank her with a spitfire. drat impetuous models!

Hey all, random question: So my friend just got an Ariadna starter box (the Scottish one?) for this thing, and has talked me into getting a starter box as well. Neither of us have played Infinity before, though we have some extensive 40K/Warmachine backgrounds. I'm personally probably not going to get much more than a starter box, so what would be a good choice to have interesting matchups against the Ariadna Scottish starter kit?

I'd go with the standard answer of "go with what you like in models/fluff terms". You tell us which ones you like, we tell you what to buy to complement the box. Also, the starters aren't even remotely balanced points-wise.

So we've got a 150pt starter pack tournament on Sunday that I'm helping run, I'm basically the spare member to play and it's a collaberative mission pack, so sort of vs neutral NPCs and I'm thinking of running this: JURISDICTIONAL COMMAND OF CORREGIDOR ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 6 0 0 WILDCAT Lieutenant Combi Rifle + Light Flamethrower, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (19) WILDCAT Combi Rifle + Light Flamethrower, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (19) WILDCAT Spitfire / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 25) INTRUDER HMG, Grenades / Pistol, CCW. (1.5 | 44) HELLCAT Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (20) HELLCAT Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (20) 3 SWC | 147 Points Open with Army 4 Obvious weaknesses are obvious with it, but hey, I'm only playing if there is an odd number so whatever.

Not too bad. Having two drop troops means you'll be short on orders at first, but the link team counters that somewhat. Just beware of hidden deployment models murdering a Wildcat as the link comes up and breaking it for good.
