Lampent apparently likes to hang out around hospitals, waiting for people to die so it can absorb their souls. That's pretty hosed up no matter what way you look at it.

I've never been able to reconcile crazy poo poo like that with Pokemon-Amie and the like. They're so cute and adorable and you're about to feast on its bones It's not even like real-world animals because they're sapient and have extremely obvious human-like emotions. What the gently caress, Gamefreak.

Mold Breaker Choice Band Excadrill is becoming a fast favorite of mine. It outspeeds and OHKO's every variant of Rotom-W and Aegislash, scares away fairies that aren't Azumarill, knocks out Gengar on the switch, and generally tears everything apart with EQ. That and he's so tiny and cute E: Has anybody here tried out Harvest Sitrus Trevanent? I ran into one and it took ages to Toxic-stall the thing out. It seems like a much better exeggutor/tropius and I want to know if it works in practice. Ruggington fucked around with this message at 02:39 on Nov 19, 2013 |

ZenMasterBullshit posted:Well we are in PokeFrance You catch the Fletchling with a net spread up in the forest canopy. Take it alive. Take it home. Poke out its eyes and put it in a small cage. Force-feed it Poffins and berries and Pokeblocks until it has swollen to four times its normal size. Drown it in Moo-Moo Milk. Roast it whole, in an oven at high heat, for six to eight minutes. Bring it to the table. Place a cloth—a napkin will do—over your head to hide your cruelty from the sight of Arceus. Put the whole bird into your mouth, with only the beak protruding from your lips. Bite. Put the beak on your plate and begin chewing, gently. You will taste three things: First, the sweetness of the flesh and fat. This is Palkia. Then, the bitterness of the guts will begin to overwhelm you. This is the suffering of Giratina. Finally, as your teeth break the small, delicate bones and they begin to lacerate your gums, you will taste the salt of your own blood, mingling with the richness of the fat and the bitterness of the organs. This is the Dialga, the mystery of the Trinity—three united as one. It is cruel. And beautiful.

To go in a less disturbing direction than discussing eating creatures that are at least semi-sentient; I have a moveset question. Which is most useful for a Mega Blastoise: Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, or Dragon Pulse? None of them seem particularly critical to cover anything it couldn't already handle with other moves, but I want to take advantage of Mega Launcher. Also, should I try Helioisk or Raichu for an electric type? Neither are amazing, but I'm having trouble with the lizard's tissue paper defenses in base form. I guess I could go for Mareep's line as well.

Tried Prankster Toxic team, didn't care for it, so I'm bringing my Gen V paraflinch team into the new generation (wi-fi battles, singles)! Murkrow @ Eviolite Bold, Prankster 252 HP/252 DEF - Thunder Wave - Feather Dance - Roost - Dark Pulse Cripples physical attackers, spreads paralysis forever. I'd really like Taunt on this guy to stop status/enemy Taunt, but I hate the idea of leaving him without any kind of attacking move. That and the occasional flinch off Dark Pulse makes me happy. Togekiss @ Leftovers Modest, Serene Grace 252 HP/252 SP DEF - Thunder Wave - Aura Sphere - Air Slash - Roost It's Modest because this is actually a Nasty Plot Togekiss that I converted to paraflinching. Even Modest it can eat an Ice Beam (sometimes two!), and its uninvested Sp. Atk is serviceable. Toge does its job, but I feel like it could be even better. It rarely T-Waves because Murkrow's so much better at it, but it also doesn't use Aura Sphere that often either. Should I drop T-Wave and remember Nasty Plot? Or replace Aura Sphere with As you can imagine, electric-types spoil the fun a whole lot. I hate Rotom so much. Anyway, I need a third member! It's currently a rotating cast of random breeding projects: a Speed Boost Scolipede, a Skill Link Cinccino (specifically for King's Rock flinch shenanigans, barely flinches in actual battles), Regenerator Tangrowth. What should I do? TenWren fucked around with this message at 04:33 on Nov 19, 2013 |

If you can put/breed your pokemon in a Luxury Ball, then Luxury Ball + Soothe Bell + Befriending Power 1 or 2 + Gaining Enough EXP to go up multiple levels at once is super fast. That was enough to get a Togepi to Togetic in like two battles.

Breeding Helioptiles: -10 with Sand Veil, some ok natures (including Timid) -1 with Dry Skin, negative nature -10 more Sand Veil - Breeding remains as annoying as always...is there any way that abilities can be passed by breeding? I know that natures can be passed if Everstone is held, but I'm not clear on abilities being passable or not.
