OneStopShop posted:Define "great shape". Canadians have been importing JDM vehicles for almost a decade and cheap cars (especially GT-R's, Supras, etc) are typically turds. Yeah, it's pretty easy to get something japanese and turbo for 5-6k now. But expect faded paint, ratty interior and neglected mechanicals. I have seem some really nice R32s and R33s but they are going for double that price. I've been told R34 GTR prices are expected to be about 20-30k for good examples because the rest of the world has already picked them over. Preoptopus posted:Why is the first car an Alpha haha? Lots of euro cars that were sold in japan get brought over. Sometimes it's a good way to find rustfree/rare stuff (e30 wagons for instance) but a lot of it is junk. So many LHD e36 320s with no options.

O2 bungs for a single turbo Skyline exhaust.

A cheap yongnuo 560-ii or iii won't cost much off of amazon, and can make a ton of difference. Hey UF being as you're an awesome welder, are there any good sites or youtube channels you'd suggest to start reading up and learning about MIG & TIG welding, especially if I'm trying to figure out what starter machine to buy? Or places for consumers to get supplies (welders, masks, gloves, materials, etc)? I've done some wire feed MIG in the past using my Pops Miller unit and it worked, but it looked like it was welded by someone with Parkinsons.

I used this site a lot when I was first trying to buy myself a MIG - http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/ (there are useful forums on there too) - I ended up with a great machine for the money I spent but the site is however UK based so i'm not sure how much it will help you. There are quite a lot of info and tutorials on there too which shouldn't hurt.

Obviously beautiful welds, but so wait is this design something YOU designed or like something you can grab off the internet? Is it something that just fits great or is it superior in its performance to say a big brand manifold? Honest questions, not trying to be a dick.
|
# ? Nov 19, 2013 04:43 |
|
As far as I know no one has a manifold that fits T4 turbos in a Skyline or RB swapped S-chassis the way mine does if that answers your question. Edit: I don't know of such a thing as grabbing a design for a manifold off the Internet, unless you mean directly copying another shop's design for runners, which I don't do.

# ? Nov 19, 2013 04:46 |

I guess I was guessing you could just find a CAD design off the net and boom, sr24det manifold! And yes, you answered my question thanks. EDIT: Yes if you don't mind that would be awesome! Preoptopus fucked around with this message at 05:10 on Nov 19, 2013 |

I think I've posted pictures in the past, but most of the job is fitting the turbo in the bay and finding a way to make the runners work. I guess I should post that kind of stuff again?
