Maybe if you posted your pictures for feedback you would get better and find that this is a pretty easy goal to achieve. Just think, once you've gotten this one goal out of the way you could move on to bigger and better things, investing in buttcoins for example.

I'd quite like to have good enough pictures to hang on the wall. It'd be one step towards not being an anonymous person with an anonymous home.

Also, I quite like the idea of cheaping out on presents to family, "Here have a picture." My mother already said she liked some portraits I took of my father and sister but she'd be mighty pissed if I went for a present of them. Maybe I can get her around with hand-printed archival prints.

Oh, hey. You are :canada:, we can deal locally!

Come over to the dark alley north of the intersection of Main and Hastings in Vancouver. Don't worry, you can safely ignore the junkies, they don't bite much, their bite is not too contagious and some people manage to live even after being bitter bitten. Come alone, I'm shy. This is also the reason why I will have three bodyguards wielding shotguns come to the event. You must however bring no weapons, as I do not like violence for ethical reasons. Bring one million dollars in unmarked twenty dollar bills with noncontiguous serial numbers. This is for the purpose of making change. I am a reputable merchant. I have no history of violent murder, arson, shooting Canon or highway robbery.

In order so that I can recognize you easily, please paint a red target symbol over your heart and stand between the book depository and the small grassy knoll, facing towards the intersection of the Simo Häyhä avenue and the Vasily Zaytsev street. If you could stand in the middle of the bullseye that I drew on the ground just for you, that would be ideal. The bodyguards will gladly show you the way. Ignore the chalk outlines, the children have a very grim imagination in this area of Canada. I blame the seasonal affective disorder. Kids these days!

Please don't tell anyone where you are going, they may get jealous and prevent you getting the print. And boy, do I have a good print for you. It's a killer, I tell you! You will drop dead from amazement. It already has your name on it...

This is what I do. Every year for the past 3, christmas presents have been 8x12s. I'll be doing that again, this year. Yesterday I gave my GF a 12x18 in a simple black frame of one of her favourite pictures (that I took). She told me repeatedly she loves it.

I'm in. It doesn't even have to be a different print than you sell to other people, if you can get a better price on printing for making lots of copies of one image.
Seriously: order prints from London Drugs. Their system works well, prices are reasonable, and I'm overall very happy with them.
