I've noticed a few songs not sounding right on 360 but I don't remember which ones. Next time I spot one I'll try to get a recording.Dark_Swordmaster posted:I want some Sound Garden. So far I don't really like this 90's alternative fetish they have going on.

They can make it 90s the game as far as I am concerned.

This game really needs a pause and show me the tab mode. Little bits inside the larger phrases are harder to practice without just being able to sort them out for a few mins before blasting down the note highway.

Is there any way to buy RS1 DLC for this without owning the original game? Steam won't let me buy it as I don't own Rocksmith.

Not yet, they are working on getting Steam to allow that. However there's a post on here saying RS1 will be $7.50 next week so you might as well pick it up and import it.

This is the one thing that's missing that could make this perfect as a tool for learning songs on guitar. I don't even need that necessarily if they would let us freely set the beginning and end point of the riff repeater.

I'd like a mode that stops on each note/chord until I hit it. Also tremolos seem virtually impossible to me.

xzzy posted:edit - also I hate how that guy strums. Put some energy into it dude. He can play the hell out of songs insomuch as it sounds good and he keeps up, but from some of his other uploads it looks like he basically learned to play guitar from Rock Band 3, and carried over his "skills" to Rocksmith. He keeps time, but he does the lazy-wristed sweeping strum no matter what he's playing, even on hard punk and grunge songs.

I own this and RS1 on Xbox, and want to import the tracks from RS1. I can't seem to find the Import Songs option to do so. I'm looking in all the options under Shop, but can't find anything that looks like "Import original Rocksmith songs". Can someone help me out? This can be done on Xbox, right?

I kinda wish all the goals they give you and stuff they do in session mode was tailored more to your path. Even though I am using rhythm everything is about how to use scales. I don't mind totally, as I use it as a break between doing the songs but it would be cool to have it teach you more about chord progressions and which chords would be in what key and all that goodness.

Repeater will step-by-step the first time you run it through on Accelerate. AFAIK there's no way to manually make it do that consistently.

I like how you can get over 100% on things. I learned the Deftones song this afternoon, and while I only had 98.7% accuracy, it gave me 102.4% for my score or completion or whatever that bigger number means. Also, they should add more Deftones. Or Meshuggah.

No Meshuggah. I love them very a lot, but it would not be fun to play.

I'm looking to pick up RS2014 for PC soon and I'm wondering if the upcoming Amazon sale will be for the version of the game with cable or not. For $40, I'm assuming that it will not be the cable version, but I just want to verify before plunking down the cash.

I just ordered this game on Amazon with the lead and it should come tomorrow. My 'main' instrument is bass but it's been sitting in my room untouched for months now. I need to spend more quality time with her and I think Rocksmith will do this very well. Hope the lead works with my bass though because it's kind of unusual: a "Fender Felix by Young Chang". Most jack-to-jack leads work fine with it and I've never had trouble connecting it to any amps though. Just checked out the song list and I've been trying to learn Paranoid Android on my own for the past few weeks. Excited to try it on Rocksmith! Really looking forward to improving my improvisation skills with the jam sessions mode too.

The stores are looking to unload these unsold copies to make room for the Christmas rush. The cable for the X360 and PS3 versions is the same for the PC/Mac.

I'm planning on buying the guitar bundle pretty soon. I've always wanted to learn how to play and I figure this would be a good start, and I'm also taking a guitar class next semester. I kinda wish this game had more 70s rock, though--not a comprehensive list but stuff like CCR and such.
