Oh come on, Misfits series 4 had alternate Nazi reality, zombie cheerleaders, Greg singing karaoke, and a bunch of other poo poo I remember enjoying at the time. 4 is the weakest season for sure, but it's not too weak to skip. And I would definitely rank 5 as the best (unless the last episode somehow completely fucks it up).

The first two are from series 3. Also, I stopped watching Misfits when I realized the show was going to kill off Curtis in the next episode because they had already written out Seth and he still had the zombie power. I just couldn't bring myself to watch the next episode.

Greg singing karaoke was in one of the two memorable episodes. Rudy falling for the nun. The other being the rabbit at the party. Everything else is either, as has been pointed out, season 3, or boring. I will grant that the current probation worker, Greg, is...truly something else. Edit: Regarding a character's demise I felt things got better once Curtis was axed. The last few episodes of the season were everyone and everything coming together nicely. cool kids inc. fucked around with this message at 22:09 on Dec 5, 2013 |

You can also watch Curtis on Utopia, which is made by the same channel and is just as sick/twisted.

Can anyone recommend a show similar to Chuck (or the first 3 seasons of Chuck, I should say). Bonus if it's on Netflix. Looking mostly for that style of comedy with some eye candy and a rather light tone, the action is fine but not necessary but I'm looking for comedy + (other genre), not just a straight sitcom. And ideally hour long episodes, so while otherwise Parks and Rec would kinda fit, it's not quite right. I guess Doctor Who would be similar in some ways, as odd as that sounds. So something like a cross between Chuck and Doctor Who. Firefly is kinda similar too, but I've seen it. Ditto Veronica Mars. But any recommendations along those general lines would be great. I've been recommended Buffy in the past but after watching the first two or three episodes it really didn't do it for me. I can give it another try if someone recommends it very strongly. regulargonzalez fucked around with this message at 22:59 on Dec 5, 2013 |

Also really want to emphasize that Buffy, while fantastic, is not even remotely Funny + imo. It has some great humor, but that is not a focus at all. If you're feeling quality drama, ask around for the must see episodes of season 1 and then go into season 2. You might also want to consider Monk. I'm pretty sure that's on Netflix, or at least was. Supernatural might work for you, too, in the lighter episodes, if you're itching for a more fantastical show. cool kids inc. fucked around with this message at 23:03 on Dec 5, 2013 |

Oh hey, and I was just talking about another one, and it's on Hulu. Misfits would be an excellent choice. Just bear in mind that holy hell some of the accents are thick, and yes I watched the first season with subtitles on. Kelly is incomprehensible at times (which in my mind adds to the funny). She's like Lady Boomhaur.

White Collar is an hour long dramedy that has Matthew Bomer basically playing a slightly different version of Bryce Larkin and basically the same tone although obviously a different premise. Suits has that kind of tone too and is very good if a bit more serious and legally. The former is on Netflix, I don't think the latter is.

Even as a kid I enjoyed Sisko thinking the rest of the crew was nuts for wanting him to play along with a 50's stereotype because there was no way in hell he'd have been allowed in that casino unless it was to mop floors.

I was going to recommend Suits as well. It's pretty much an hour of the pretty cast making witty banter at each other, but the writing is usually good and most of the dialogue is legitimately funny/clever.

If you like it, more power to you, but I personally couldn't watch past the second season premiere.

If we're talking about lawyers I'd put The Good Wife over Suits any day. It's funny but it also has better actors and writing, and it's probably one of the best dramas on network TV.

Well since he listed Chuck season 2 of Human Target may be right up his alley, of course the new showrunner Chuckifying that show absolutely destroyed what made Human Target good in the first place. I say that someone who liked (most of) Chuck.
