I finally got around to photographing the two furry leeches who are currently filling my home with the smell of cat poop. This is Charleston Chill. Charlie if the most loving, affectionate, awesomest cat in the whole wide world. Here he is worrying about the federal defecit, then dreaming of one day reaching the stars:   Curiosity failing to kill a cat, and a profile view:   This is Cringer. Cringer is the most scarediest, insular, skittish cat in the whole wide world, but on the rare occasion that he decides to cuddle up with you and purr, he is so unbelievably soft! My cats taking a brief break from destroying all of my earthly possessions. Freddie is 1/2 Persian, 1/4 Japanese Bobtail, 1/4 American Curl giving him both a crooked tail and curled ears. Also a PKD and blindness carrier. Vlad is 7/8 Bengal 1/8 Persian with the recessive longhair gene. Is blind. Working in a breeding colony (for a genetics lab) gives you lots of options for weird mixes. Propane C3H8 has a new favorite as of 09:01 on Dec 5, 2013 |

Is he eyeless blind or just blind. The pic looks like he has no eyes. What is it like to have a blind cat?

He has a genetic condition that causes blindness. Blind cats are actually really functional. Very few people would be able to tell he was blind unless I told them. It only really becomes obvious when he runs into a chair that has been moved slightly. He also doesn't like to be picked up very much since its a little disorienting.
