Hmm, the Sims sure like to sleep during lectures. They really did a bang-up job on making the game realistic in that area.

Greetings Brits, I come from the distant country of America to explain to you why "kickybag" raises rebel affiliation. In America, we call Kicky-bag Hackey Sack and I do not know why EA/Maxis does not just call it that but whatever. For whatever reason Hacky Sack was picked up by the "outsider" type clique of kids as the "sport" to play around High School and College. I still recall my days exiting High School to find a group of rebels in wolf t-shirts kicking a bag around, it actually was pretty prevalent everywhere and seemingly exclusively by that type of kid. People in EA/Maxis must have noticed too so that's why playing Kicky Bag makes you more of a rebel.

They were also good at sports and had lots of friends and girls and there was literally no such thing as a jock. This was when I was 16-17 or so, maybe the jocks died out early on, but if there was ever a boy who was great at sport and got all the girls we never gave him a clique name.

Update 4 - Ice Cream and Alcohol I love some of these loading screens. So when we left off, the Communication goons (plus apples) had gotten back from their classes for the day and the Art students had left. We now rejoin Eevee and Snuggles where they are.. ...being responsible roommates actually! Eevee cooks up a tasty salad for everyone and Snuggles cleans out the rank leftovers in the fridge. Oh right, the whole fire thing. Better replace that. Recycling the rotten food gets Snuggles this happy moodlet. Good job saving the planet! We've had that ice cream maker less than a day and somehow our goonhouse has managed to make the counter its on top of completely gross. What the hell are you making in that thing, guys? Luckily, Snuggles is on the case and cleans it up like a champ. The guys partake in some freshly made ice cream, this time in a delicious cookies and cream flavour. "Dude I made salad what the gently caress are you eating ice cream for?" Poor Eevee drops his ice cream and he looks utterly heartbroken Snuggles just looks amused. Taking a break from science, apples is in the living room, having finally discovered that the dorm has a games console. I have no idea what she's playing but it looks Zelda-ish? Eevee, after being defeated by the double team of gravity and ice cream, settles with his salad and eats alone in the dining room. Snuggles broods in the kitchen. Heartbreak does suck, man. I've been there. apples gets free poo poo for being a giant nerd! She can also now play online using her shiny new games console. Its nothing special, just the same one thats already in the dorms. Eevee decides to talk to our resident pyromaniac and brighten her day Back in the Fine Arts lecture, the professor has drawn Aradia Megido on the whiteboard for some reason and our goons are doing pretty well. At least they're awake. While I'm here.. Much better. This girl seems to like Eevee and she thanks him for cooking its about time someone showed the guy some gratitude! Having finished her game, apples is back to doing science. She looks pretty focused on it! Snuggles throws up. I guess that's how he figured out the food in the fridge was bad! Get used to this sight, folks. Sims in this house seem to love windows. apples gains her first Science skill point we'll be demonstrating her newfound abilities later on in the update. Art lecture time is over and Roar is lookin' both sassy and terrified at the same time. How does he manage that? Seriously, Sims make the best faces when ice cream is involved. Dude hasn't moved at all. I'm starting to worry about you, Snuggles. Now that she's done making science happen, apples whines about trees to Anoki. Hi, artgoons! Welcome home! Today's gone pretty slowly and with everyone only having one class today it seems like a good time to take a little trip somewhere. Welcome to the Sea Shack! Its not actually included by default in the University town, I decided to add it myself but its a bar with some games, musical instruments and a proper bar. Students love bars so why the hell not? Jimmy gathers up the goons and off we go! I also find out that our pyro's name is Asala. Good to know! Everyone arrives and just kinda...stands around for a bit, looking confused. Eevee is having a blast though! These two guys are already here and are already unimpressed with our cast. Pretty much all of them roll this want the moment we get into the bar. Its an easy enough want to fulfill and that's kinda what we're here for anyway so let's go! apples and Jimmy are straight in there. Roar looks terrified as usual but he really wants to go to the bar. Dachshunds, you can't even see through that window, what on earth could you be staring at? While blocking access to the bar, Jimmy and Eevee discuss cogs. Maybe Eevee is a steampunk fan? They're actually getting along pretty well, these two might be the first friendship in the goonhouse! Goddammit Snuggles what the hell is wrong with you? Eevee considers hiring a maid, Dachshunds considers cleaning. Sometimes I forget that she's a Neat sim, it doesn't actually seem to come up much. Darts! The random bar patron takes a shine to Dachshunds. Roar gives the most pained expression in the world as he makes an order at the bar. I like to think that this is his first time at a bar and he was worried he'd get carded despite clearly being a university student and therefore old enough. ...I also like to think that he wussed out and got nachos instead. Random Bar Dude tells a ghost story! apples is a boring nerd and goes home early. Dammit apples you're supposed to be here to make friends and socialise! Just outside the bar, I spot this little garden so I set apples to work on harvesting plants. She'll need these for later! After his failed attempt at ordering a grown up drink, Roar also heads home. Dachshunds and Eevee appear to be enjoying the ghost story at least! I do not know what that drink is but it is sparkly as hell and I want one. Jimmy gets this moodlet after consuming the glass of sparkles. Neat! Jimmy discovers the instruments at the other end of the bar and hops on the drums. He's a Virtuoso so he'll gain skill with musical instruments faster than any of his friends and he'll have great fun doing it too. Musical instruments will also boost his academic performance too! He's not very good yet but his friends have all gathered around to watch him play anyway Snuggles just looks so proud! apples has harvested these! Some potatoes, tomatoes and lavender! These will all be useful for the advancement of her science skill, or we can shove the vegetables in the fridge to lower the cost of meals. If she really wanted to, she could throw the herbs into a bonfire or fireplace to create a pleasing, relaxing aroma that would boost the mood of all the people around the fire. You can throw a lot of things into fires. Back at the house.. Roar... Roar no! People just seem to hate Anoki. apples is home and ready to do some science. I decide to have her do a herb experiment (as an aside, the phrase "an herb" makes my skin crawl) so the lavender goes into the machine. Roar enthuses about trees. At least he's not being mean. Back at the bar, Jimmy's drumming skill is coming along nicely, and everyone else seems to be pretty happy just watching him make noise. This is what science looks like! You can see the herb in the little tube there, and apples is blasting it with some kind of green stuff. I'd assume its radiation but radiation experiments are a completely separate thing so use your imagination I guess. A few minutes later we get the result! I have no idea what Super Spice does so we'll be finding that out next time! She also gets this positive moodlet! Go apples! I check on the guys at the bar again and Dachshunds rolls this want. For a sim that doesn't have the evil or mean spirited trait, she's pretty mean. Its 10pm and Eevee and Snuggles head home. What the hell have you been putting in that ice cream machine, you gross goons? Back at home, Roar reads a book about farts. I spot a goonsim at the bar! Hi there Kloro! Roar reads his fartbook by Anoki, who is happily playing games on his computer and probably pretty happy at not being pestered by, poked at or argued with by anyone for a little while. Looks like science is happening all over campus! apples has a freakout in the bathroom. This is a daily thing for her and other Neurotic sims. If other sims witness it, it freaks them out a little bit but for apples it gives her a nice little mood boost that completely stops her from getting stressed for a few hours. Handy! After freaking out over nothing, apples heads out into the hall and makes fingerguns at Eevee. ...oh my! I don't know any pickup lines involving computers so pretend that I do and that I wrote it here. That's a lie, I do know some but they're all lame as hell. After flirting, Eevee tells a ghost story. Not the best follow-up there, dude. Since Snuggles was there anyway, I check the noticeboard outside campus for jobs he can do. There's one available and its pretty quick so I accept it and off he goes! More goon updates! 10:20pm and Eevee and apples are getting into bed. Dachshunds heads home from the bar not too long afterwards, looking pretty pissed off. Jimmy and the bartender are all thats left back there. He seems to be having fun at least. 11pm and shortly after Dachshunds gets home, she and Roar both decide its time to hit the sack after a long day of battling fires and social anxiety. Snuggles finishes his job and gets himself a nice little bit of cash for it! Not bad for about an hours work. Its midnight, and outside the cinema, Snuggles contemplates the grim reaper. Jimmy eats rotting salad. Alone Faerie Fortune fucked around with this message at 00:43 on Dec 8, 2013 |

Huddling under the blankets alone isn't quite the objective of flirting, but it is appropriate for ghost stories. Also, I love that a bunch of us just sat down and listened to one in the middle of the bar. Sims really like telling those, it seems.
