I have one. It's by the ______ brothers I believe (Felice maybe? Avett?). Anyway it was this weird rollicking song about a dead man come back to life and visiting his family again. I seem to recall a lyric about him dripping mud on the parlor floor. It started off really well and then descended into the musicians just kind of loving around. Google has not been useful, and I would appreciate any help.

I've been hearing this one all over the place, so it should be fairly easy. It is a electronic pop song with a James Blake kind of mood, and the refrain goes like "and it won't go away / it won't go away".

I have very little to go on with this, but I heard a song on the radio on September 23rd. It was a top 40 station and I remember some other songs that played included Blurred Lines and Get Lucky. All I remember about the song I'm looking for is that it started out with a catchy synth melody, it had a female vocalist, and it may have included the words "love" and "night". I thought it might have been Icona Pop, but it's not. If anyone has an idea, or tips on searching for this, I'd be much obliged.

What might work is checking out the top 40 charts of around that time. Assuming you were listening to an American radio station, the closest top 40 chart was the 21st September, which you can find here. A super long shot, but I'd say the closest in that chart with what you remember cuold be Lady Gaga - Applause?

Im sure it's some mainstream band but at any rate I saw a music video and liked the tune. The music video is the band performing (well mostly the dude singing) at some sort of event and a guy and girl who's there with another dudeare flirting and in the end of the music video they run off into the city and are hit by a truck. Not a lot of details but the last bit should give it away.

I'm looking for a song that's come on my 'The Naked and Famous' Pandora station. I'm assuming it's fairly modern. The singer has a voice similar to the singer from The Postal Service. The only lyrics I can remember (which may be completely wrong seeing as how a google search isn't helping) are from the chorus: "Oh oh here we go, light (line?) them up and watch them go (blow?)" I know that's kind of vague... any help would be appreciated! Classicist posted:I have very little to go on with this, but I heard a song on the radio on September 23rd. Awhile back in a random selection of songs from a Youtube mix I was listening to while I was working, there was an upbeat song with a lyric something like "fade into darkness" sung as a chorus. It had a fairly quick beat to it. I tried googling that, but the first result, a song by Avcii called "fade into darkness" wasn't it. It might've been a cover, though.

e: haha jesus nevermind I remembered it as soon as I hit post. It was Ayreon - Age of Shadows. I've had a tiny bit of a song stuck in my head for a bit and it's killing me. I heard it years ago but I've no idea where. I'm pretty sure it has male and female parts in it, and it's sort of fantasy style rock/melodic genre with the this one line being, "the age of ______ is here" or something along those lines. Any ideas? kcer fucked around with this message at 01:20 on Dec 4, 2013 |

OK, this is driving me nuts. Long story short, I was playing TrackMania Nations on a server the other day, and they played this awesome female rendition of Talk Talk's "Such A Shame". It had more of a modern-rock/trance/techno type of tempo, beat, and accompaniment. The woman singing it has a phenomenal set of pipes, to say the least. I'm voice-recce-ing her as An Pierlé, but the vibrato in the studio recording I have is different from the internet samples of her that I've listened to, although the timbre is about 90% the same. However, I can't ID this musician with 100% accuracy, and I've tried all of the tricks--Grooveshark searches, google, TPB, usenet...you name it! She has an awesome voice, nonetheless. If no one knows the artist off the top of their heads, is there a way I can upload this .ogg file, or maybe a snippet of it? The last thing I want to do is break any legality rules of SA...although I'm almost 100% sure that this file is free domain. God drat...thanks again SA...this forum is the best $35 I ever spent in 2010.

The song I'm thinking of was a big 90s or early 2000s hit. The part I'm thinking of goes (very roughly): A A A, (beat) G G, C C C, (beat) E E. It sounds like it would be played at a basketball game or something. All I can really say is that it sounds to me like Song 2 by Blur but isn't.

We've both tried Googling all the different lyrics but nothing comes up. It's definitely not We Are the World or anything obvious like that. To get into the season, there is a version of "Christmas Time Is Here" (the song from A Charlie Brown Christmas), that has been playing at work that sounds mostly terrible. I'm trying to figure out who did it so I can make others suffer with me. I know there's a million versions, but this one starts with (I think) a bass guitar playing the opening chords (it has that harsh sound like a modern punk style, so I think it's relatively newer). There's some background vocals and a violin and most notably a drum beat that, to me, sounds like it's being played by a synthesizer and seems to not fit with the rest of the song.

I just found a CD a friend gave me around 10-15 years ago and its in bad shape. The first song plays up til around the minute mark and then its unplayable. The problem is that it's a ripped CD with 16 tracks by a band I can't remember the name of ("something" trees I think and I think the band is from california). I've tried four different song identifier programs and none of them seem to recognize it.
