Thank God they found a director who understands what the Apes really represent, it was far too subtle in all the other films - war paint!

Haha, I cannot help but be scum. I've seen all of the originals several times and I have an opinion about each one, but I still have to Google them to keep track of which is which. The reboot titles are not helping things.

Channing Tatum is the poo poo. I remember reading an interview he did, with like GQ or something, where he just straight up said he had been typecast as a dreamy meathead because he wasn't a good actor, and was trying to get better and apply himself. Also he's funny as poo poo.

Transcendence is the directorial debut of Wally Pfister who was Christopher Nolan's cinematographer on all of his movies.

Possibly a System Shock 2 reference in there...

Otherwise, this is a good example of how not to make a teaser. Nolan's trailer showed virtually nothing, but his name, and a few memorable images made it a great teaser. This however, fails to excite anyone unless they have an immediate interest in a) the singularity or b) Johnny Depp in a non-pirates movie. And my suspicion is those are two small groups of mostly non-overlapping people.

Wally taking cues from Nolan's Interstellar teaser I see. And man, The Expendables trailer, while it doesn't show much, has me way more excited than both Interstellar and Transcendence.

I was going to post this earlier but I was sure someone has hacked imdb because that's just hilarious. I'm picturing Grammer hip firing a M60 and it's slowly making E3 my most anticipated film of the year.

I hate to be contrarian, but that was somehow even worse. Is there a more articulate way of describing something as being really "on the nose"? Everything about that is so unsubtle. Also the answer to his first question is "The Matrix" and it came out in 1999. I wouldn't have batted an eye to see "a SyFy Channel original movie" at the end of that.

TBH, I saw the blood-covered robot as the Youtube preview image, and kinda hoped that it would be a movie about killer robots killing everyone.

Also, that Blended trailer looks like it could maybe be one of the better movies in a generally terrible genre.

I think that's actually pretty rare from what I've heard? I'm not actually 100% sure, but I think a lot of the time it's outside marketing companies or departments mostly separate from the people who actually made the movie.
