The poodle is being protected because she is staying with the Dewclaw family; Coney, the carnivorous rabbit, has murdered enough would-be assassins that the pile of their bones reached what is at least a second-story window.

Also, I swear we've seen these Nemi before. Is it in reruns for the new year?

If someone wants to pick it up, they're welcome to do so; I'm just going through the GoComics directory alphabetically, skipping the politicomics and the ones that people already post, so that some unknown ones can get some exposure. That's how Ballard Street got introduced to the thread, after all.

Huh. I figured it was just a bunch of dead bodies that Lindesfarne hid in her room. :v:

It's quite possible. I'm not sure how Metro are organizing/printing the strip. Are there any Norwegian folks out there that see the daily Nemi in Norway? Is it even running in real life any more?

Watching the second to last episode of Lilyhammer on Netflix put me in mind of Everett True: you see a creep yanking his poor tiny dog's leash down the street and it is yelping and obviously hurting and the tough guy in the show gives him a look and says "Excuse me could you not pull on your dog like that? You'll hurt his little neck." The guy leans in and says "Who the gently caress are you? gently caress off."
Smash cut to the tough guy walking down the street with the dog and the owner in the background tied to a light pole by the leash around his throat.
