All right! I had no idea there was a thread for this. I've been going through the catalogue bit by bit as I work. Unlike most podcasts, this once was well-edited right from the start, although there is improvement. Love it! I still think the funniest one was the one about the Supernatural fandom.

Dozerfleet's fundamentalist right-wing racist drivel is pretty much classic freep. It's the obsessive cataloging of his fantasy and "love life" that makes him particularly interesting. He's 20 years too young to be a freeper proper though. Just go and read the freep thread in D&D for an endless amount of that.

Speaking of, they haven't done Freep yet have they? There's some great poo poo there. DaleReed being angry about everything, the endless circular firing squads about what is and isn't a fake republican, poo poo like the leader constantly saying server costs are like 32,000 every quarter and having constant fundraisers because he hired his son to be in charge despite their website looking like it's early 90's still. Plus whenever gay stuff comes up it's super clear they all constantly are imagining men having sex with eachother.

Neither Freep nor Stormfront have been touched, and neither of them is in the content submission table. If you want to see Freep (and god knows we're overdue for good old-fashioned conservative nutbaggery, Dozerfleet barely even counts), go ahead and compile it yourself, everyone'll love it. I'm thinking of compiling another submission of my own, but I'm not sure exactly whereto look. Anyone have any ideas on where I'd be able to find: 1. Sovereign Citizens, who are convinced that they are immune to all laws because of some ridiculous legal loopholes that don't exist. 2. Philosophy, and those who don't understand that you should read before writing. It's stuck with me since the joke intro in the creepypastas episode, and I'm sure that idiots trying to philosophize both exist, and are probably loving hilarious. Would that be funny though? The Ridiculists have said that they will only be doing Wrong Opinions if these are funny and not just infuriating, and I really don't know what new things can be gleaned from Freep and Stormfront. Once you've see one "gays are destroying America" or "back then we didn't have crime because we spanked children" thread, you've seen them all.

Stormfront would probably be way too much, and I certainly wouldn't want to see it featured, but Freep does feature a healthy dose of ridiculous infighting, "Conservative humor", on-site drama etc. if you are willing to sift through it. Also, the aforementioned dalereed is a pretty hilarious fellow.

If someone did want to make that document, I'm sure the Freep thread could help in sorting the funny bits from the infuriating ones.

Stormfront no, aside from a few gems like their dating site being funny because it's a bunch of literal neo-nazis saying how nice and sweet they are it's just generic 'you hate black folks?' 'yep fuckin hate em'. Freep, though, is a massive clusterfuck of legit insane people who also happen to be republicans.

Pretty early into the podcast I tried putting together a Freeper doc. It took me a surprising amount of effort to find just a few things worth using. 99% of the site contains news article summaries followed by 100 replies based on giving democrats nicknames. Maybe the various SA threads on FreeRepublic are a better place to explore for content than just browsing the site itself. It's the sort of thing we'd love to do, but we really need there to be some real idiocy or craziness so we can have fun with it.

If someone does take it upon themselves to compile some of the freepshow, please make sure to include a healthy dose of their abundant gay disgust/intrigue. I'd like to narrate some of their sweaty fantasies and see if we can't get some of these poor things to come out the closet for good. Or maybe I can just use it as an excuse to try out my Phil Robertson impression.

So um I'm watching AGDQ and I could have sworn I heard Portaxx reading off donations. Is it just someone who sounds a lot like her or is Portaxx into the speed running scene and I just didn't know?

Portaxx does support for both AGDQ and The Speed Gamers, I believe. She does AGDQ's banner art, that's clear enough.

She waved at the camera when she was watching Viewtiful Joe and Toast sent her a shoutout via donation comments. Unless something changes, she'll be doing commentary for Pac-Man 2 during the Awful Games block, so look forward to that!

I wanted to stop into AGDQ myself next weekend, but apparently it's like 80 bucks just to sit in. That, combined with the gas and Metro costs (I'd be coming in to DC from the south and AGDQ is up in Bethesda), knocked it out of my price range. Anyway, regarding the latest episode, I'd forgotten how it hits that sweet spot between consistently absurd yet sane enough to at least follow. Many grins for me while listening.

Freep is only funny in context; out of context it's soul-crushing. It's only really funny once you get a sense for the overall position of the place, start recognizing characters, and get enough of the repetition of certain ideas and terms. It's like one of those TV shows where you can't really just jump in and get into it right off the bat, you've kind of got to "watch" a few "episodes" for it to really start clicking. Unlike the latest episode, which I've only got about 20 minutes into so far, where context would do nothing because it's dumbassery all the way down.

I really hope there are people pretending to believe in Neil Gaiman's version of gods from American Gods based on their characterization in that book alone. I'm saying that because I'm hoping nobody is stupid enough to believe in these things wholeheartedly.

Is there someone collecting themed songs in case you just happen to need something about loving teddy bears, beating women or loving toys, or does the editor get the fun job of going to google and searching "misogyny vehicle gently caress song" Perhaps a brainstorming session. Everyone open up iTunes and see if they've got anything that would fit. Then, listen to all the suggestions and pick out the three most perverted.
