It is, in fact, AGC. Mr. Marlette had been meaning to draw a distinction between the words of the prophet and what the followers of Islam were doing: that's not supposed to be Mohammed behind the wheel, but an extremist who doesn't follow the dictates of his own faith. Marlette found it hilarious that critics of the cartoon were upset about 1)an anti-islamic cartoon that wasn't, containing 2)a depiction of the Prophet that wasn't. This humorous anecdote would be followed up with several minutes of him debating with himself over how he should have made the message clearer, followed by him being depressed and quiet for about half an hour.

Eh...sorry I don't think I buy that. That sounds suspiciously like McCoy claiming that the fat woman demanding birth control wasn't really Sandra Fluke when he got called out on it.

I agree. Even after reading his explanation, it doesn't make sense. His other cartoons show that he's got some talent -- he could've made that A LOT clearer if that was actually his original intention.
