That’s such an obvious recipe for failure.
Yet they could have guaranteed the Republican candidate’s failure just as well by denying funding to any candidate.

Why spend money to get what they can have for free?

Ronald Reagan had this 6th sense, and unfortunately I think BHO has it too.

I'd have to disagree. In the last few days of the 2012 race, Obama couldn't draw flies to his rallies. Those who showed up seemed dispirited.

In his last appearance, in Des Moines, Obama was clearly acting like he had lost the race. His attending media sensed the vibe...and started writing political obituaries. Even the NYT did a long think piece discussing "Could Obama really lose?"

At that point, Obama had no sense of winning. If there is somebody on his team who has that sixth sense, it is probably Axelrod. Certainly, his campaign team kept assuring a nervous media that the race was well in hand.

The Rokstar posted:

Yeah, that happened in our recent state Supreme Court election

quote:

In a dramatic turn of events on Thursday, the Waukesha County clerk announced that the vote total announced for Tuesday's Wisconsin Supreme Court race had been mistaken -- and that the corrected numbers changed the outcome of the entire election.

There were 3,456 missing votes for Democratic-backed challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg and 11,059 for incumbent GOP-backed Justice David Prosser. Kloppenburg has previously been beating Prosser by just 200 votes of the roughly 1.5 million cast statewide. The new total puts Prosser on a significant path to victory, about 7,500 votes ahead of Kloppenburg.

Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus announced the news in a press conference at 5:30 p.m. local time, sounding nervous and, at times, on the verge of tears. She insisted that there was no foul play in the results and blamed the mess on her own "human error."
...
"It is important to stress that this is not a case of extra votes or extra ballots being found," she added. "This is human error, which I apologize for -- which is common in this process."
...
Questions were immediately raised about the new announcement. As Schneider wrote, prior to the election, Nickolaus "was heavily criticized for her decision to keep the county results on an antiquated personal computer, rather than upgrade to a new data system being utilized statewide."

Added Schneider: "Nickolaus cited security concerns for keeping the data herself -- yet when she reported the data, it did not include the City of Brookfield, whose residents cast nearly 14,000 votes."

The Waukesha County Board also heavily criticized the clerk after she brushed aside their recommendations for improving election security. At one point during a hearing in January, board chairman Jim Dwyer grew exasperated with Nickolaus and said, "There really is nothing funny about this, Kathy. Don't sit there and grin when I'm explaining what this is about."

Kids were taught that sex was the only thing you could lie about in court, character didn't matter, and BJ's were not sex so could be practiced in abandon.

Clinton also was largely responsible for 9/11 because he weakened the military with DADT, appeasement of N. Korea, ignoring the '93 WTC bombing and the Somalia disaster though this is NEVER spoken about anymore.

Let’s get this right out in the open. This guy is a fag! Even if he doesn’t want to have sex with a man he is a fag!

I’m thinking Robert would get perfect grades in Sociology 101 in 2014.

This is the feminism of the male of the species.

I sit through a few sitcoms these days. What I notice is that the women are strong and the men are... well... pussies.

He cries. He whines. He can’t think his way out of a paper bag on his own.

These traits aren’t ones to shoot for, for either sex.

I also find it interesting that if any physical activity is called for, it’s the 4’ 11” female that whips the rear end of the 6’ 4” male. She bends down low and swipes her leg. He falls like a house of cards, down and out.

What these writers write would pass for cartoon material. Unfortunately they see it as how society should be run today. It’s hilarious. Well, it would be if it wasn’t so disgusting and sad.

Oh, Bob! You are a fag. It's simple. You try to hide it behind a facade of "cool enlightnment," but in the end, you're just a bun-spelunking poofter who's terrified of masculinity and secretly yearns to be a little girl and play with stuffed toys and Barbies and the Kenner Easy-Bake Oven.

Buy some stiletto pumps and a garter belt, draw the shades, and indulge yourself. Because your attempt to dissuade other men from manliness is nothing more than a pathetic attempt to universalize your pathology. You'd be better off spending your efforts in finding makeup that will hide a five o'clock shadow.

Poor little Robert needs to be rushed to the emergency room immediately, and be tested for the presence of any testosterone in his body. I bet the tests come up empty. In the meantime, he can get a blankie, console with other womyn, and have access to a sit down potty.

Pathetic.

First off, unless this is satire it pretty much requires a barf allert.

If this is real, the male gendered human being who wrote this needs to seek help (privately...not a good thing to broadcast). If it turns out he has crossed the rubicon to the other team, keep it private, don’t brag, it should be considered shameful. If you do partner up (choke gag), dont try to adopt children, you will only destroy them too. Stay in the closet, it suits you.

I replied "No but I will if you want me to".

Besides poking a pointy stick in the eye of the Latin Church, the contraceptive mandate is there to help pajamaboy and his ilk get laid.

I sit to pee any time I'm aiming-impaired (drunk, morning wood, etc), particularly concerned about not making a mess, or just can't be asked to aim because it's 5am or something.

I mean, being able to pee standing when I'm in a hurry/the woods/some gross-rear end gas station bathroom stall is loving great and one of my favorite things about male anatomy but there is nothing wrong with being conscientious.

Well maybe if you treated every small, regular act you take as some ritual test of masculinity, you wouldn't have that problem. You say you stand up when you pee, but that's just one of many tests. When you cut yourself, do you bleed, like some woman?

The work going on in particularly sub-Saharan Africa today is truly wonderful. It obviously fades as you go north into the Islamic areas, or south within the sphere of that hellhole ‘South Africa’ which has legal same-sex marriage and polygamy too as well as rampant abortion.

Is there any reason we should not target South Africa in mission work to try and turn that nation back towards morality? What makes them so diametrically different to their neighbors in Namibia?

I wish that Nigeria would cut loose its northern region and wash their hands of the Muslims.

In fact, I just returned from Africa. 3 crusades- in very remote areas, conferences with church members, etc.
Honestly, I was served to a greater extent than I served. People there are on fire for God’s Word! There is a vibrant presence and God is working in a mighty way. People are coming to Christ in droves.
More ministers and trained leaders are needed.
This is the Smyrna church. I am so blessed to have been part of it.
