So Mayhem did a little interview at http://mmainterviews.tv/2014/01/14/jason-mayhem-miller-talks-return-to-mma-changes-apologies-nick-diaz-uriah-hall-more/ and it looks like he's gotten his poo poo back together somewhat. Looks like he's back training, says he has a few offers from legit orgs which I assume means Bellator/WSOF or OneFC (This would be the best for the great entrances he had in Dream), maybe Titan FC since they're getting a for realsies TV deal. He wants to fight in Japan because he has showmanship and wants to be "more than a guy walking out of a tunnel". On Uriah Hall: "I'm more black than racist" "He has some ninja styles that are gonna do him some good" Compared to his behavior in 2013 he seems a lot more reasonable and sane.

UPDATED: I'm going to use this elsewhere too, so I decided to make it a lot prettier with pictures and hyperlinks. TUF 18 fights (including the qualifying round) are included for ranking criteria. Fighters who have not fought in 15 months and do not have a fight scheduled in the next 3 are considered inactive and thus ineligible for ranking. Things get increasingly blurry after around #20 or so, so I apologize if a ranking is a bit baffling after that, but I decided I wasn't going to spend 30 hours on this. -Atom-, sorry about Sheila Gaff, but if you take away her losses and fake-glove-touch victories she still legitimately beat up Aisling Daly which was enough for her to squeeze in at #40. Devoz posted:There seems to be a reasonable overlap between your 115 lbs rankings and FightMatrix ranking. http://www.fightmatrix.com/mma-ranks/womens-strawweight/ I have tons of respect FightMatrix and they're an excellent tool for noticing new prospects, but I certainly didn't take either their or the WMMA Unified Rankings as any sort of gospel. FightMatrix is the best computerized MMA rankings by at least an order of magnitude, and think they work as a good counterweight to some of the human rankings I've seen, but they still have issues. For instance Kowalkiewicz is grotesquely overranked (I saw her fight against Soukupova and Kowalkiewicz is legit, but #8 is batshit). I had to think very carefully about where Esparza and Gadelha stood and the fact is I think a lot of people were ranking Esparza #2 by default. The short answer for why put Gadelha ahead is that her mauling Hamasaki is more impressive than any of Esparza's wins, even with the timezone difference. Anyway I ranked the top 36. FightMatrix stops at 20.

I didn't realize you could get ranked #4 by not losing as badly as you did the first time to the champ. Also, I can't really think of any time Tate actually did anything resembling offense. Like just because Joe Rogan goes OHHHHHHHH! doesn't mean that you actually did anything important. I mean if you're going to go by in-fight performances and not wins and losses, her getting beat up by Julie Kedzie should shoot her pretty far down the list.

She did better than anyone imagined she would against Rousey so until one of the people below her wins again I can see why that loss wouldn't move her down. Losing to the champ shouldn't hurt your ranking too much, they are clearly the best.
