Hello there, dedicated ISO dial.

There is front wheel too. And the only dial that doesn't have a lock is the one in the corner, what?

No threaded shutter button, perhaps meaning some proper remote system?

The dial is firm enough to prevent it. I have moved it on purpose and then forgotten about it plenty of times.

Sexy as gently caress. If it had been out when I was shopping for a new camera last November, I certainly would have considered it - and maybe even bought it over the E-M1, since the X-T1's EVF is supposedly even bigger, badder and better. Dual-card-slot is also awesome. It doesn't have IBIS, a touchscreen or 1/8000 shutter speed, though.

I am gonna get it for the flip out LCD. That is like my only gripe with the xe-1. And also because I am a consumer whore

I want a thumb rest because it feels good man. I can't say I've (inadvertently) changed the expcomp on my XE1 lately.

Alot of XT1 photos on fujirumors. The forehead is not as good looking at the Fuji filmSLRs but I like it better than EM1. The 23mm doesn't look big at all so I guess the body is like the XPro1 size. If the bundled price is 1800 I am guessing the body and the 2.8 pro lens will be sold 1300/1000 separatedly. edit: wait Fujirumor said kit lens is only the 18-55, never mind I was too optimistic then. whatever7 fucked around with this message at 22:47 on Jan 20, 2014 |

Just preordered the 56mm f1.2. They said it will release first week of March. Finally updated my X-E1 to the latest firmware and the auto ISO owns so much. Really love how fuji keeps improving their cameras so long after release. edit: 56mm sample images are up on fuji website: http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/x/fujinon_lens_xf56mmf12_r/sample_images/ keyframe fucked around with this message at 23:29 on Jan 20, 2014 |

You know, I am sorta interested to see Fuji pump the resolution of their sensors a little higher, maybe to 18 or 24 megapickles. It would be nice to see that these lenses can keep up with higher resolution sensors as the system grows. poo poo: the XT1 has a manual dial for metering modes. Rumors say the XT1 will retail for 180000 JPY, which is currently 1729 USD, so expect the price to be somewhere around there. I'm interested to see if there is any improvement in the sensor. I still love my rangefinder-shaped X-pro with the nifty OVF/EVF and, since I already have a Sony a7, I won't be tempted by that body style alone.

If Fuji can actually improve the APSC sensor with all those organic sensor stuff in the near future, I don't mind stay with APSC format. A set of 3 top end APSC lens weight a lot less than a set of 3 top end FF lens. I have decided a combo of 3 fixed lens and two bodies have the best balance of IQ, flexibility and portability for personal recreational shooting. I would like to see Fuji make a compact, high quality tele lens. Something like the Pentax 70mm f2.4 pancake, but with OIS.

I quite like what they're doing with the XT1, it's not going to be enough to make me upgrade from my XPro1 but give it a couple of years and I can see the difference should make it easy justifiable. I think I might just use my money to get some more glass, sure the 56 looks tasty but I keep thinking the 23 would suit me better. Then there's the part of me that likes the idea of the 10-24, or the 14...

Part of me wants either the 10-24 or the 14 for work purposes as I shoot a few events we build at work (marquees and exhibitions) but no one pays me for it and I'm not sure how much else I'd use the lenses, the 23 just looks like a great walkabout lens, a little wider than the 35 but with similar quality and fast that I can use it in low light.

Yea the 23mm is amazing, but the 35 is close enough that you can take a couple steps back and get a similar shot. 56mm would be a better buy imho.

I guess it's different for everyone. I couldn't live without a fast 35mm equivalent. I could do without a 50.

Even though I recently bought a Sony A700, a flash gun, and a bunch of nice and cheap Minolta glass (which I needed for a New Years trip), the X-T1 looks like it may very well be my next mirrorless camera to replace my NEX-5. Sure the Minolta primes work well on the NEX-5, it's still a somewhat large package (about as long as the original kit zoom) and only the 50mm if faster than f/2.8. Plus, I haven't bought any new E-mount lenses since the Sigma 30mm and I don't even use it since I find the focal length too narrow for my shooting preference. Every lens I bought since the Sigma since has been an A-mount lens since the Minolta glass is just as good as Sony's offerings if not better in some cases but cheaper. I'm looking to pair the X-T1 with that gorgeous 23mm f/1.4 and the 27mm f/2.8 pancake for something a little more portable. Also looking forward to that rumored 16-55mm f/2.8 zoom especially if it's weather sealed. The 56mm f/1.2 looks tempting and I think I will get one eventually but it's not a big priority since I have the Minolta 50mm albeit on a different camera. I'll still keep the A700 for the beercan and the flash gun though I suppose I can also use the latter on the X-T1 with an adapter.

Of course the proper thing to do in this instance is to get a x100s instead of the 23mm. edit: More 56mm porn: http://nathanelson.com/fashion-shoot-bts-with-the-fuji-56mm-1-2/ keyframe fucked around with this message at 07:06 on Jan 21, 2014 |

I don't think of those two as so similar that they're redundant by any means. On my full frame camera I carry a 35 and 50 in the same bag quite often—my minimal kit is usually 35mm, 50mm, and 90mm macro.

As much as I like the idea of a portable full frame camera it's very hard to tell the difference between APS-C and FF shots. Plus a thinner DoF is not always a good thing because half the shots with some f/1.2 or greater lens miss focus or have parts of the subject blurry.

I much prefer the classic 35mm focal length than 50mm. But the Fuji 23mm/1.4 is huge compare to the 35mm/1.4. Like other said you can just get a X100. The 35mm-ish focal length option is hands down the hardest choice to make if you are a Fuji shooter.
