Right now its pretty just me and a few of my homies I've known since high school plus some other people we've met through our other friends. Our little circle seems to be getting bigger and bigger though. My friend Danny Denim is recording a tape with this 17 year old kid L the Black Prince who is fuckin fierce. We also work with some random kids named Molly and Timmi Hendrixx who I guess are affiliated with Jim Jone's Byrdgang some how

I'm down with Sandpeople, Oldominion, Cool Nutz, Tope, Luck One, Xperience, Wildcard, Lawz Spoken, Trox, Evil Hands, and pretty much anybody that used to record at Momentum, etc. Hell, I was on a track with Macklemore back in the day, but who gives a gently caress now lol...I mean I could name drop all day but that's my city out there. Haven't been around since about 2007 (drat it's longer than 5 years) but I still come visit now and again. Who's making noise in your opinion right now? Who's repping the hardest out there in the scene in your opinion? In fact - all of y'all, a discussion question: WHO IS CURRENTLY KILLING THE LOCAL SCENE IN THE CITY WHERE YOU LIVE? I'M INTERESTED IN LOCAL ARTISTS FROM EVERYWHERE AND WOULD LIKE TO CHECK OUT SOME "GOOD LOCAL RAP" IF IT EXISTS IN THE CITY (OR NEARBY) WHERE YOU LIVE...

Sup chill people. Everyone else too. Remember me?! The true ML-heads will . I stopped using SA a while back to increase my "free" (read:studio) time, but here is a collection of dope poo poo I've been working on since then. Here's a beat I made, which will soon be re-created as an official remix with cooperation from the artist I sampled. If I made a beat-tape called 'guitar samples and chipmunk voices' it would contain too many tracks for one disk Silence Here's the first in a series of well-known samples turned into gratuitous Youtube remixes. Millions of views anticipated (by me) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ge58bd20Go Here's two notable tracks off of my rap crew's series "Sunday Meds II". New track every sunday, no end in sight 14 weeks in Steve Smith Grand Scheme (Happiness) (Full playlist) Here's a single off my boy Ronzo's upcoming debut mixtape, "The Ronzo Show". Clean version for the single, purely for shats and gags Customer Service Here's a secondary soundcloud page I made for beats not good enough! All are available for download and use by anyone, I can even spiffy the production up if you message that page with a request Moses B-Cuts SHAMELESS PLUG SHAMELESS PLUG But for real this is hot poo poo, don't miss a chance to make your own day better by hearing the wonderful sounds I've carefully crafted for you. Too pushy? Sorry babe, I didn't mean to scare you. Of course you can listen some other time. u know I know I got u.

EDIT: I mean like it's a interesting song to sample from, nonexistent/unobtrusive drums, 3/4 time, nonsense vocals. Been trying to make tracks out of like new age enya kind of poo poo. SHeeeeeeeeeiiiit. Is there a sampler thread? I just had the most moment with my sp-404sx. I've had it for about 2 years now and all this time I had no idea you could apply an effect to multiple pads. This seriously cuts time in half as I've been resampling poo poo OVER AND OVER to get entire banks with the same effects. Feel so stupid right now. Anyone else having any major breakthroughs in their beatmaking?

I asked this in the Electronic Music thread but didn't get a response; it's probably a question better-suited to you cats anyway. Where should I look for good marching/drumline percussion? Hit samples, loops, anything. I've grown a bit tired of the percussion kits in Battery 3 - I mean they sound good but they take a lot of production (finding which hits layer best, nudging notes to subtly flam, throwing shitloads of reverb at them, etc.) to really sound like a halftime-show drumline. Are there any other drum VSTs that have really fat marching snares? Or, any loop packs hanging around from which to draw inspiration? Related: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW2WYZhbXig

for niche stuff like that you can get lucky searching production forums for a random dude asking for/sharing whatever you're looking for. A quick search on FP turned up this: http://www.futureproducers.com/forums/hardware-software/software/free-drum-line-marching-band-kit-379761/
