When a government or society abandons God and reduces the value of human life to that of a common animal with no soul, then history proves that said government will treat humans accordingly. Man will be herded, enslaved, used as beasts of burden and slaughtered at will by ruthless, Godless, soulless totalitarians.

This is where the godless extremism of leftism always leads. Yes, they want to kill God. They want to say man has no soul. Man is just another animal that crawled out of the sea and onto the ground. That modern man has overpopulated the planet is now killing mother earth, so modern man must be brought under control.

Leftist extremism will do the job. Thus the rush to deprive us of our religious freedom. To slaughter millions of our innocent unborn children and for we the people to accept that as normal and not extreme. To force on us the obvious extremism of same sex marriage to erode away and ultimately destroy the foundations of our society, the basic family unit. The family structure is to be replaced by government. And we the people are to accept that as normal and not extreme.

They are busily destroying our economic freedoms. Capitalism is bad. Free enterprise is bad. Profit is a bad word. Socialism is good. All the good we have ever known is now evil and must be replaced by what we've always known is truly evil.

Nationalism is bad. National pride is bad. National sovereignty is bad. Borders must be erased. Free governments must be weakened or destroyed. To save the planet, we must have one umbrella entity controlling all. A United Nations movement to control mankind and save the planet.

To accomplish the above, the people obviously must be disarmed and the evil guns collected and destroyed. The church must be destroyed. God must be airbrushed out. The basic family unit destroyed. Patriotism and constitutional principles must no longer be taught in school. Freedom will only be a memory in old men's dreams, then eventually blanked out forever.

We've seen it all before. We've read the book. We know where it ends.

Conservatives are people who wish to defend traditional American values and our American heritage. We wish to conserve the constitution. Restore limited government. Restore our God-given freedom. This is not racism and not extremism. The extremists are the liberal progressives who wish to destroy freedom. Destroy God. Destroy America. Destroy life.

It stemmed from the pictures of the people carrying him to the hospital (where he later finally succumbed to smoke inhalation)--of course he doesn't look so good considering he was pulled from a smoldering building after the violent attack. Fox and Friends can't look at a picture of brown people carrying a white guy and not think "welp, he's gonna get it in the cornhole."

Any old exception to a rule doesn't apply to that proverb. An example of one that would is a sign next to a lake saying "No swimming in the lake on sundays". That would be an exception (no swimming on sundays) that proves a rule (you may swim in the lake).

'Proves' in that proverb means test/trial rather than confirm, like proofing a gun barrel. Sometimes the item under proof splits right open and thus is a bad barrel. Or you mentally compartmentalize that round as 'one of the good ones' and keep on using the same barrel.

No, they were pretty much spot on to the original meaning of the phrase. It originated as a legal argument used by Cicero 'exceptio probat regulam in casibus non exceptis' or 'the exception confirms the rule in cases not excepted'. It's just that the 'in cases not excepted' part is almost always left off, causing much confusion.

These are exactly the thoughts I have as well. We are being pummelled into destruction & servitude by a demonic coalition of the hate-filled homosexual/lesbian lobby, radical islamism & radical left-wing marxists like 0dumb0 and the socialist democRAT party. And I must say that it appears that for any of the lone, solitary battles that we may win, we lose another 100 or so battles, primarily by activist, evil is right and right is evil judges. And our police forces are increasingly becoming thugish, mean-spirited advocates of a nazi-communist style police state.

I believe that our nation needs to be divided into 2 separate nations, liberals & leftists on one side, and conservatives, patriots & Christians on the other side. I hope & pray that our southern & western states will rise up & secede, as this is the only way we will survive.

Perhaps God's plan for America is to allow our depraved, immoral, evil nation to simply sink into oblivion & self-inflicted destruction. And who knows what will happen following that. Maybe we will end up with a feudal type system, with despotic warlords engaging in warfare against each other.

It is a shame that among our so called leaders, I cannot think of one, just one, who has communicated what America is, why we are exceptional, why we are the greatest nation this world will ever see. The only one I knew in my lifetime that effectively communicated the idea that is America....the vision that inspired us....was President Ronald Reagan. However you feel about him it cannot be denied that he held, cherished, and shared..quite effectively...the vision and idea of America. In contrast, the politicians today from both parties are self absorbed, immoral people far more concerned with personal gain and power than in preserving, protecting, and defending the constitution they swore to uphold.

To know where we are and how to get back on the right track , we need to understand where it is we came from. Our great history has been distorted, lied about, and not even taught to generations of Americans. Those in positions of influence, policy making, and power are convinced that America is evil...that we are the cause of the world�s ills. From politicians, to teachers, professors, policy makers, journalist, church leaders, and celebrities...they have taught and argued that America is deeply flawed. That we need to change dramatically. That we are a racist, war mongering nation.

There are many that feel God to be irrelevant. That we can have a successful constitutional republic without Him. That people can be moral and effectively maintain a free society without religion. This is a common mistake. While people can be and are moral without a belief in God, the maintaining of a free society is not possible if its citizens do not have a faith and a belief in God...particularly the Judeo Christian God. This is a fact that even our founders have stated. A brief look into history and the world around us even confirms this. The vision that is America was inspired by Judeo Christian beliefs. The belief that the individual is sacred...that our rights are God given, not man given...is essential. Without belief in God, you cannot believe that our rights are unalienable God given ones. That belief is the cornerstone of our republic. Without it, the house we are will divide and crumble. The reality is that we are divided and we are crumbling. Any honest person will admit this. It is no coincidence that this crumbling and division coincided with the beginning of the removal of the Religious from public life.

The expulsion of God from public schools in 1964 was the beginning of this crumbling and division. Though it was years in the making, it became a reality in that year. Since then, we have been in a slow and steady downhill journey towards the immoral, debased culture we live in today. This was no accident, nor was it a spontaneous event. American Marxists, using the methods advocated by Italian communist Antonio Gramsci, worked hard and diligently to infiltrate and influence our institutions in an effort to remove the importance of God and religion from public life. To replace God with the State...both in public life and in the heart of man himself. They HAVE succeeded. They have influenced a critical number of Americans to bring about the fundamental change to our culture and government Barack Obama spoke of.
This is where we came from, and this is where we are. Lets look at our founding, our history, our Exceptionalism. Let us remember who we were. If we forget who we are, or were, we place our freedoms in danger of disappearing forever.

Religious studies people have constant fights over exactly how many kinds of Protestant there are, but it's goddamn boatloads. Plenty of different kinds of Catholics, too, they just all call themselves Catholic.
