So none of us ended up becoming paleontologists, but 2 of us stayed in the sciences, and one of us is a drat good teacher. that's gotta count for something.

You could take all the core/essential elements of both characters, their personalities, their histories, their backgrounds and yet if you did nothing but change the colour of their skin to black, I think people would become offended and claim you've just created offensive stereotypes.

I've only read Ultimate comics on and off over the years, and almost entirely Spiderman, but I do know Ultimate Reed is considered one of the biggest villains in that universe. How does that happen?

It's basically just a twist on 616 Reed's plans to "Fix everything". Ultimate Reed is younger, has had a lot of bad stuff happen to him, and didn't have Nathanial around, so he's more unbalanced

How does that happen? He decided that he knew better than everyone else how to run the world. He then spent 1000 subjective years building a society of genetically engineered humans in a place called The City. He then brought The City to Earth and blew up a rather large chunk of Europe.

How does that happen? Almost all Reeds in all the alternate universes go bad eventually. The 616 is one of the few that doesn't it seems. He basically snapped and went crazy shortly after Susan turned down his marriage proposal. He killed his family and faked his death and turned into one of the biggest villains by killing millions of people in Europe and creating his own advanced society. Then he destroyed Asgard and killed most of the Ultimate Norse Gods among other things. All of it was his plan to make the world better. But he was crazy you see.

Ah, that explains it. Wait, Kang prevented 616 Reed from going nuts? BTW, that is the #1 villain I want to see, loving Kang with is bright green Kimono and purple hooker boots.

Thats insane, even for Marvel stuff. I don't know why, but Kang and Ultron are tied together in my mind, and it can't be the first storyline of Bendis's avenger run. I will expect Kang in Avengers 2 up until I actually see it.

Today is apparently an X-Men day and they are going to be revealing a ton of stuff including 25 different character covers and possibly a new trailer later. Here's what's out so far: Sentinel: Toad: Even younger Stryker:

Well they need some way to try and stay in print beyond constantly doing best of lists. Havok Mystique Trask The tag line combined with the Trask photo is pretty unintentionally funny.
