West Virginia is a great outline for what's wrong with conservatives in America today. Coal companies killed the state, and they continue to blame Obama for not letting the coal companies do whatever they want.

Appalachia has pretty much always been known for it's struggles with poverty and lack of infrastructure, it's not as if the coal companies originated that. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't been a huge net benefit.

They were exploited pretty badly by the companies, though. Lots of poor workers to mine for coal. Then when you don't need the workers any more, fire them and let their communities die out and their small towns turn into creepy, depressing backwaters.

I agree with you, it's just that the small towns were backwaters before the coal companies arrived. It'd have been better if they had been able to try a different path of economic development, instead of one that exploited it's workers and poisoned the land, but there are a lot of problems in the area that have roots that go back a long, long ways.

Christ, attacking someone using their childhood link to the loving Holocaust is about as low as you can get. I mean it somehow manages to eclipse the fact that they're calling a man who was held in captivity and tortured a traitor to his nation. Just unbelievable. I mean I hated, really intensely hated Bush and Cheney and I have disdain for a lot of right wing figures, but I still wouldn't try to attack them on that kind of level.

I don't know if I have the details right, but I think there's another "Obama isn't a citizen" theory that says that even if he was born in Hawaii, he's not a citizen because lost his citizenship when went to live in Indonesia with his step-father or something. Most of the other nicknames are outright racist, but with "Barry Soetoro" when someone calls you out for being a poo poo, you can just say "What's wrong with a name like that? If you think Soetoro is an insulting name, maybe you're the real racist. Why do you think an Indonesian name isn't good enough? " Yeah, must be because Facebook is run by Islamic radicals. Darkman Fanpage posted:I think he'll find that it was the commies that won in the struggle between the "NSDAP German PATRIOTS" and the "Khazar Commie". Khazaria was notable for being one of the few nations to adopt Judaism as an official religion, although it was mostly confined to the leaders. They were originally Pagan Turkic peoples, but the Byzantine and Umayyad empires sandwiched it either side, and would not trade with or respect the autonomy of Pagans. Rather than convert to Christianity or Islam, which would open them up to domination by one side and rejection by the other, they picked Judaism instead, becoming 'people of the book' and therefore sidestepping the issue. In modern times it has become a thing in some (crazy racist) circles that the real Jews in Biblical Israel, including of course Jesus Christ the Savior, were blond-haired blue-eyed white Aryans, and the fact that the vast majority of modern Jews look nothing like that is because they are the Khazar Turkic imposters. You can replace any instance of "Khazar Commie" with a string of antisemitic slurs and a giant propaganda picture of a hook-nosed monster thumbing money while chewing on a Christian baby and get the same message. Just in case 'NSDAP German PATRIOTS' didn't make it clear that the poster was an insane neo-Nazi.
