Well, killed the state seems like it might be a bit much. Appalachia has pretty much always been known for it's struggles with poverty and lack of infrastructure, it's not as if the coal companies originated that. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't been a huge net benefit.

They were exploited pretty badly by the companies, though. Lots of poor workers to mine for coal. Then when you don't need the workers any more, fire them and let their communities die out and their small towns turn into creepy, depressing backwaters.

I agree with you, it's just that the small towns were backwaters before the coal companies arrived. It'd have been better if they had been able to try a different path of economic development, instead of one that exploited it's workers and poisoned the land, but there are a lot of problems in the area that have roots that go back a long, long ways.

With exceptions of course, the music industry should just adopt the following motto.

We do not believe in marriage, monogamy, respect for underage children, and if we can get them drugged up or drunk and pregnant before 18, so much the better. And now we want the official age of consent done away with. Come join us today kiddies...

Again, confirmation we live in a culture of death. How long before God intervenes? I thought last night before I went to sleep about the scripture that says “If my people, who are called by my name, will turn away from their sins and repent, then I will heal their land.†We can’t do anything it seems right now, about these wicked judges, this wicked administration, this wicked congress; but God can. And all it is going to do is for each and every one of us, ordinary citizens, to turn back to God, the God of our forefathers, Christians and Jews, and He will intervene on our half. Last night, I decided that what I was going to do, aggressively, instead of my usual lackluster take the easy way out of whatever problem I am dealing with, but instead at every decision point, ask myself what is the right thing to do in God’s eyes, and I would like to challenge each and every one of you to do the same. We, the people, have a means at our disposal, and that is to turn to God, to bring back a godly govt, and the wicked in charge will not be able to stand against this. While, of course, we should continue the political to fight this wickedness, this culture of death, all we really need to do is live in a righteous way, so that God will help us, as He has promised to do. If my post reasonates with you, then today, turn back to God in all of your ways, pray for our country, and talk to your friends and family about doing the same. We CAN, the citizens of this country, end all of these doings with Godly lives, prayer, and faith.

What we just witnessed was an abortion taking place, that child was murdered..all of this about the baby being deformed, is there an ultra sound to prove that? This baby had a heart beat and now he or she is dead because for whatever reason the husband decided that he didn’t want to give the baby a chance at life. I can’t understand what the family is going through its tragic, but the baby is this woman’s legacy, I cant understand why they wouldn’t want the baby to at least have a chance at life

There are way too many assertions being made in this story based upon what the media has fed to the sheeple using plausible deniability of 'the family's lawyers said, or the hospital records reveal, or the woman died eight weeks ago and so did the baby. It makes me sick to see it so prevalent at FR now. Several posters have exposed their anti-life bias while insisting they are pro-life as they defend the killing of the gestating child without knowing the condition of the child in the womb else they would have posted it hours ago! It is almost shocking at FR. But then, I did witness the Terri Schiavo 'debates'.

As much as I dislike McCain, I don't see this other than two power brokers saying hello. The down side is that McCain doesn't realize he's talking to a New World Order power-monger.

I think the man has no clue to what is good for our Country anymore. I don't believe he has gone to the dark side of the NWO. I believe he is just getting too old to tell the difference in what has worked in the past and can work in the future. He's a addict to DC.

That's why we need: TERM LIMITATIONS!

Since that is not doable, how about this?

STATE NULLIFICATION!
LET THE INDIVIDUAL STATES TELL THE FEDGOV TO SHOVE THEIR MANDATES AND DARE THEM TO DO ANYTHING! SOME STATES ARE ALREADY DOING SUCH. THEY'RE PASSING LAWS BY THE DAY AGAINST OBAMACARE.

Although I still have my loving wife who of course is more precious, she understands now that Abby is gone, I have to get back involved.

On the upside, I sold a bunch of stuff and bought a 1958 Impala (all time favorite car - had one in 69). Can't wait to get her out of the shop for some upgrades and listen to Oldies while cruising down the Blvd, while we can. Sorry, if I'm boring you.

OF COURSE McCain gave the election run a little (actually a LOT) less than his best.

Now, Sarah Palin probably reversed a lot of the sentiment that was running against McCain. But there was a double objective here. By tying Sarah to a loser, this was an attempt to also dim HER star, for any future plans of bringing a fiscal and social conservative to national prominence.

The popular take-away on this was supposed to be, that Sarah was such a drag on the ticket, it would prove George Soros right, that conservatism is a losing strategy and philosophy.

But if she were such a drag on the ticket, the margin would have been 65% popular vote for the Current Occupant, to about 35% for McCain. Actual vote, 52.9% to 45.7%

Christ, attacking someone using their childhood link to the loving Holocaust is about as low as you can get. I mean it somehow manages to eclipse the fact that they're calling a man who was held in captivity and tortured a traitor to his nation. Just unbelievable.

I mean I hated, really intensely hated Bush and Cheney and I have disdain for a lot of right wing figures, but I still wouldn't try to attack them on that kind of level.

Here is #2777 by the way.

The Sunday celebration of the Lord's Day and his Eucharist is at the heart of the Church's life. "Sunday is the day on which the paschal mystery is celebrated in light of the apostolic tradition and is to be observed as the foremost holy day of obligation in the universal Church."110

"Also to be observed are the day of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Epiphany, the Ascension of Christ, the feast of the Body and Blood of Christi, the feast of Mary the Mother of God, her Immaculate Conception, her Assumption, the feast of Saint Joseph, the feast of the Apostles Saints Peter and Paul, and the feast of All Saints."

So I have no idea what kind of coherent thought he was actually trying to form.

Maybe he's thinking of the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

The Soviet ones did, the 'Khazar' ones didn't do very well out of the whole NSDAP thing.

Khazaria was notable for being one of the few nations to adopt Judaism as an official religion, although it was mostly confined to the leaders. They were originally Pagan Turkic peoples, but the Byzantine and Umayyad empires sandwiched it either side, and would not trade with or respect the autonomy of Pagans. Rather than convert to Christianity or Islam, which would open them up to domination by one side and rejection by the other, they picked Judaism instead, becoming 'people of the book' and therefore sidestepping the issue.
In modern times it has become a thing in some (crazy racist) circles that the real Jews in Biblical Israel, including of course Jesus Christ the Savior, were blond-haired blue-eyed white Aryans, and the fact that the vast majority of modern Jews look nothing like that is because they are the Khazar Turkic imposters. You can replace any instance of "Khazar Commie" with a string of antisemitic slurs and a giant propaganda picture of a hook-nosed monster thumbing money while chewing on a Christian baby and get the same message. Just in case 'NSDAP German PATRIOTS' didn't make it clear that the poster was an insane neo-Nazi.
