Goddamn. That CRX is identical to my wife's old car she had when we were first dating, same color, same year, Si, manual, same trim. Hers died an early death because at the time, she didn't know anyone who knew anything about cars... she got badly ripped off by a mechanic who put in a Japanese engine when hers died, hosed up the body work doing it, overcharged her... and didn't bother to change the 40k mile timing belt that was on the engine. It broke after about 15k miles, collision head, towed it to a mechanic and he confirmed the engine was hosed, and she just cried and sold it to a towing company for scrap value. I think she got taken for upwards of $4k for the engine replacement parts + labor, and that would have been in ~1996. Man she loved that car. But $5k is way too much for a 1985 no-airbag deathtrap. I just can't do it. Amazingly fun car, perfect unmolested condition, but... no, can't do it. Leperflesh fucked around with this message at 08:30 on Jan 30, 2014 |

I just saw this on the Toybarn's website. Unfortunately it's gold that is also the price of gold : 87 GNX, 361 original miles http://www.toybarncars.com/inventory-details/title/dublin-used-1987-buick-regal/vehicleid/63567401-5089 Also, I can't find it now, but they had a late 80's or early/mid 90s BWM that looked ridiculous. I think it was all original however, and I'm quite sure the price was 6 figures, or close to it. It had 'thin' headlights, anyone know what that might have been?

E31? They came in some pretty ridiculous limited edition versions, so I can imagine a good condition one being worth a lot to a collector.

$600 seems about right for that thing, there's not much worth saving. If it's rougher than the pics show, it probably isn't even worth putting a new engine into unfortunately.

Banana creme Hilux represent. This was my little brother's first vehicle. I spent an entire summer on the drat thing making it legal and fixing all the poo poo that rotted from sitting for 15 years and then a year later he sold it for like $600 because the oil pan gasket let go. I want to kick him in the face for that. I also want to track it down but last I heard it left the province and I've got no leads.

One day I'm going to own a 60's International Scout. My dad owned one when I was very small.. We were actually rear ended in it when I was probably 3 or 4 years old. I flew off the seat, hitting my head on the dash and causing a nice bruise. Then when we got home I announced to my mom that "someone hit Daddy's hooker" (aka trailer hitch).

There's an '88 CRX SI in my garage right now, I'm storing it for a friend for the winter, he bought it in September and is going to leave it mostly stock and autocross / track it.

Do it before they all rust away and the engines are swapped to SBCs.

Well since he appears to have typed carmro with his face then it's likely that he meant to ask $3000. If not that would be an awesome beater or, assuming it's a V6, candidate for a LT1 swap.

No kidding I bought one that ran and drove for $300. It didn't stop but you can't have everything. One shipment from rockauto and I was stopping like a C2 corvette.
