Your best bet is to buy an early Impreza L coupe and add the few goodies yourself.

Nah, I am really going to focus on being smarter about all my projects. I want a regular daily driver so I can work on my Mustang and enjoy sliding it. If bought a Subaru I wouldn't do an diesel swap till some time way in the future. I really want to build a Locost frame this summer too. My main choice for a car right now is another 300D.

If you want a no bullshit car you want an L not an RS. 2.2 5 speed or 1.8 five speed. The 2.5 is too finicky and you'll end up either nuking bearings or having headgasket leaks. Either of which you don't want to deal with as you have other projects. With a 2.2 you can be ignorant and give no fucks. RS's are also over valued for no reason.

Why? I liked Rich's when he had it. He had a full STi driveline, but I liked the car's shape and interior.

The '04/05s still had the STi block and took to bolt-ons in an insane manner. My modified '04 XT was one of the quickest cars I've ever had. Off the line it was cartoonishly fast.

Weren't you trying to sell off your extra cars? Did that happen? And didn't you get turned down for like a $4k loan last week? You know that every little application impacts your credit, right?

I am going to sell my S13 when it runs, hopefully this week. I've been super serious about credit for the past two years and my score as gone up 5 points. My debt to income is too high and it throws off my score, so I don't really care anymore. I do, on the other hand, want a regular car for once. And the loan was for $8k last week.

I had a 98 S for a year or so, awesome car. They're pretty light for how big they are, and while they're kind of funny looking (imo), they can be pretty neat looking when modified well. It's really pretty hilarious how much crap you can fit in them, I once jammed enough R30 to insulate my entire basement in mine.

What is the fabricating procedure for these custom manifolds? Do you figure out where the turbo is going to sit then bolt in the manifold flange and just tack weld the pipe bends towards the collector. Do you tack it up in the car or on the bench? Your work is really beautiful and inspiring.

They usually try and get all the runners the same length, so figuring out where to put those, plus the turbo and downpipe, is kind of an all-at-once kind of thing.
