They were filing that way to be able to hide their donor rolls, but in order to do that they had to lie their asses off or bend the truth enough so that if you squinted just right they could pass as a social welfare group. People are literally complaining about the IRS investigating tax cheats.

The problem is that the right wing wants taxes to go away entirely. They think taxing is wrong if it isn't for military spending. All they were doing was keeping what was rightfully theirs. They also go on maximum meltdown mode over the fact that that dirty liberal communist Muslim not white guy in the white house is spending their tax dollars on things they don't like. Do remember that they think that preventing tax dollars from going to anything that's even remotely related to abortions is saving babies. They're trying to get all tax dollars taken away from things like Planned Parenthood because abortions. Even though abortions is like single-digit percentage when it comes to funding. And also forgetting that easy access to cheap/free birth control goes a long way toward preventing pregnancies and thus reducing the number of abortions that happen. But they hate that because that means a woman might enjoy having sex somewhere and we can't loving have that now can we?

I think it's more of the idea that sex (for women) is meant for procreation and nothing more. By using birth control, you negate the possibility of creation. When I was in Key Club, one of our members refused to participate in anything we did that was tied to UNICEF because she was Catholic and UNICEF advocated pro-choice policy. Doesn't matter if they also advocated things like the eradication of polio. If there's a hint of abortion or birth control, it was evil.

Rush Limbaugh was on the air bitching about the fact that apparently "LIBERALS ARE PISSED BECAUSE WE'RE NOT SAYING HATEFUL THINGS, THEY DON'T BELIEVE WE'RE GENUINE WHEN WE SAY SOMETHING "CONGRATS ON YOUR NFL CAREER, MICHAEL SAM"" ... Has there been any "liberal" anywhere that hasn't at least given credit to someone when they show an ounce of tolerance or stumble upon a correct idea? It's kind of ridiculous the victim complex these people build up about themselves.

Way to go Rush! You finally found the one gay person undeserving of being called a human being on national radio (but still deserves all the other discrimination) and he earned that distinction by being an NFL prospect. Would you like the ticker tape parade on a Saturday or a Sunday? Edit: I would also venture a guess that people like Rush did a ceasefire on Michael Sams less out of a newfound respect for one gay guy and more out of a cowardly, hypocritical unwillingness to go on an hour long screed about how their precious NFL is now a doomed haven for faggots, flower basket weaving and decent House music that no one should do business with anymore. Another thing w/r/t the Michael Sams chat is the Dale Hansen rant about pointing out the hypocrisy of the NFL celebrating criminals vs celebrating the first openly gay NFL player. Rush is just absolutely befuddled about what the big deal is about a homosexual joining the NFL. Rush just keeps repeating the question "Why should we celebrate a gay guy joining the NFL?" I think this might be because he and his listeners actively work to deny homosexuals equal rights, but what the gently caress do I know? Another highlight of that clip was when Hansen brought up that some people were uncomfortable with the idea of a black guy being a quarterback Oh yeah, and Obama raised the minimum wage for federal contractors so Rush was naturally raging against that: quote:RUSH: Yesterday at the end of the program -- the last half hour of the program -- I was watching TV. Obama did his White House ceremony raising the minimum wage for federal contractors. It just hit me. He knows EXACTLY where the line he can't cross is. His entire show is about running right up to that line, dancing on the side of it he's on, and never crossing it, ever. If the line moves he just dances somewhere else and acts like it was his idea it moved in the first place. The man can play an audience like nobody else I've ever heard. He can also somehow make ANYTHING wrong. You hear it time and time again. Scientists and engineers could get together and create a machine that made infinite food so nobody would be hungry again, ever and his response would be "see? Science encourages us to be lazy! I almost feel bad for Michael Medved. He tries his best to explain the realpolitik behind the passage of the debt ceiling increase and how Ted Cruz hosed everything up for senate republicans who were happy to let it pass on nothing but democratic votes and one of his callers was very clearly pissed with him for it and calling him "Mr. Reasonable." The tone of his show for the past several months has been "Guys, if you just spent half the energy you waste attacking your fellow republicans on attacking democrats we can win the senate in 2014" and all of his callers are "NO MORE RINOS WE NEED TO TAKE A STAND AND FIGHT!"
