Gee. If you google this dweeb, he’s this guy that is a professor/whatever in some NYC college and has written a whole bunch of “Physics and (insert any kooky rear end connection here)” Books....

Looking at his web page, he seems fond of himself and rather a fancies himself a physics rock star. He reminds me of a Physics Tony Robbins or Elmer Gantry or whoever that guy is. Hey, maybe it’s that Vietnamese guy on the cigarette boat with the hot chicks, you know, Trai Phan or something like that? “You, too can be filthy rich, like Trai Phan, and have hot babes on your boat!”

In this article, he has no directly relevant experience nor current knowledge of frozen over lakes, MORE ice this year - any of that. Global ‘warming’? What’s that?

Apparently he hasn’t got the word yet that ‘global warming’ is the new N word. It’s CLIMATE CHANGE now.

He may not be dumb but he is an extremely evil human being.

He is consciously pushing the LIE of man-made global warming because he is a leftist control freak.

He is a liar pushing his claims not based upon scientific principles, but simple because he is a rabid leftist.

Hence, his actions make him an extremely evil human being. The reason he and others are evil is because the solutions they propose will cause the deaths of millions of innocent human beings.

The statement, “The decade that just passed, it was the hottest decade ever recorded in the history of science. “ is an outright LIE.

It's ludicrous to criticize much of anything anyone did at the onset of WWI because nothing in previous experience was anything close to what WWI was, even right from the start. Britain entered the war to honor obligations, and to cash in on some favors, and to try to put their hand in what almost everyone thought would be much like previous wars. While many people got an inkling of how different WWI would be, no one had any real idea of just how much. Sure, back then entering war might have been a serious subject, but it wasn't anything close to as serious as it became after WWI. Before WWI, entering a war wasn't the grave decision it's since become. The elite would say "now's a chance to put a few honors on our family names. It'll be jolly good. Can't wait," just like their grandfathers and before had said.

So, maybe it was a mistake, but only a mistake that a fortune teller could have avoided.

They didn't even have helmets, for god sakes. Officers wore plumage and rode toward hailstorms of bullets on horses as enemy officers did the same stupid poo poo. The idea of actually avoiding bullets was a radical, and some actually thought, cowardly idea. That's how totally unprepared everyone was. The French didn't think the range of modern artillery was worth the weight. People at the start still went into battle wearing shining metal armor at the start and carried lances upon their war horses. It was like this trap everyone fell into because their ideas about war hadn't advanced alongside their weapons. It was almost like a bunch of children that just discovered loaded guns in a nursery.

There actually is a population bubble that is just passing through the system right now. The abnormally high ratio of baby boomers to young workers is straining our system. It's exasperated by newer ideas of family size, people becoming parents at ever older ages, access to birth control, and Freep's favorite: legal abortion.

It's not just in the US, but rather there's a strong correlation to economic development, the empowering of women, and declining birth rates: http://www.forbes.com/sites/currentevents/2012/10/16/warning-bell-for-developed-countries-declining-birth-rates/ In fact, the US has a lower fertility rate than the "replacement rate", and our population right now is largely propped up by immigration. This fact is currently challenging our old ideas about immigration, and well, here we are having the national conversations we're having. This, of course, terrifies Freep.

EDIT:

He says it like there's a sad orphanage operator out there just praying to Jesus that maybe a few more kids will become orphans so he doesn't have to close up shop. He hates gays so much that it's just a given to him that it would be better to have open "orphanages", than to have the kids adopted by gay parents.

Also, the US no longer has orphanages at all. That's just not part of our system anymore.

This is the first question that should be answered; a lot of people getting degrees are getting trophy degrees. Hospitality management can be used to start a small hotel or restaurant, but strangely these women don’t have an interest in making their own way. I wonder if the hospitality management degree is used to run the house once they get it from their husbands in the divorce settlement.

“Many a college degree is nothing more than proof of living another 4 or 5 years on Daddy’s dime.”

True; then they seek to go live off of their husband’s dime.

If you give poor people food stamps then you're literally helping them to be overfed and unconcerned. Now, it's okay for millionaires to not pay taxes and live in wealth, because, as job creators, they're not "unconcerned" with the nation the way the shiftless, irresponsible poor are.

The sad part is, you could life this word-for-word and drop it into a Freep thread, and they would take it at face value.

One of my "favorite" pieces of right-wing logic is the idea that you must GIVE MORE to the rich to incentivize them to produce, but you must TAKE AWAY from the poor to get the exact same effect.

"If you give more benefits to the already privileged, it causes them to work even harder, to produce more, and to generate value."
"If you give more (any) benefits to the less privileged, it causes them to become system-dependent leeches who take endlessly and contribute nothing."

Why they're just living up to Mark 4:25: "For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath."

Of course, if you read the entire chapter you get a different perspective.

Maybe bachelor degrees don’t mean that much (depends on the major) but both med and law schools have more women. Women are making more money on the job, too.

Men are getting lazy after centuries of domination — the patriarchy and all that. If men would just get off the couch, they have huge advantages over women in physical size and testosterone (aggressiveness) and native math ability.

Instead of working hard, men are poppin’ Buds and watching five football games a day. They deserve their fate.

Get a judge, negate a vote...we are definitely NOT a representative republic...
Pack it up and go home....but where?

Not when every such judge is an Obama appointee. He could get this in all 50 states if he wanted.

I have to say this and it pains me to, but if this is forced upon the states by the courts, I will declare our rights dead and a new era of dictatorship in effect. I won’t remain in a dictatorship. I’ll have to carefully fold my flag and constitution, and make travel plans to Armenia.
...
Unless there is an indication that in an impending cataclysm, we can seize power at least in the red states and outlaw liberalism and arrest these judges pending public trials for sedition.

I'm not at all confident in Americans of conscience meaningfully fighting back anymore. When Roe violently forced a "right" to murder babies on all 50 states and we did nothing, I knew we were dead in a way that we've never been before.

THIS is why Indiana is trying to put in in our State Constitution.

The law is already there, just needing affirmation of the voters.

From the comment sections of the news media websites in the state, you’d think that Hoosiers are 90% gay. They are scared sh!tless about this one getting to the voters.

It won’t matter. They will find the amendment to your state constitution federally unconstitutional. They have already done it elsewhere.

There is no way out. This is leftist tyranny. We let them stack the judgeships for years, and now they are overwhelming the people.

Notice that they do this soon after they win the Governorship and AG. They govern against the will of the people, because they know that they can get away with it. Just like Obama.

Elections have consequences. But more fundamentally, rampant, unrepentant, rebellion against God has consequences.

Haven't they been claiming this since the day Obama was elected?

Also "we're becoming a dictatorship! Our only recourse is to outlaw liberalism!"

Haven't you heard? "Democracy" means "I get my way 100% of the time, and if I don't, then that's tyranny/fascism/doublehitler."

Looks like someone needs to read their Constitution.
