In some ways this is a much more realistic depiction of pokemon. You don't travel the world and beat all 8 gyms in a couple days. It takes you a day to travel from one town to another, you lose to the gym MASTERS tons of times before finally besting them, and training your pokemon is a long and arduous process.

Someone appears to be savestating every once in a while, so maybe that's the last resort if the game becomes legitimately unwinnable. Also in theory I suppose you could farm money by spamming Meowth's Payday at wild Pokemon over and over.

It took over a day to get this far, I wouldn't really expect them to get anywhere quick. It's entertaining to check in every few hours though. I fully expect this will drive some kid legit crazy.
