The prices across the board are at least 25% off amazon price, but usually averaging 30-40% cheaper. Then, they ship USPS Priority 2 day for an extra .99 cents. .

My first order came in flawlessly. Oh, did I mention that their selection is extremely deep... this is better than the oldies sale. Enjoy goons!

Pavement, Yo La Tengo and Wilco all at reasonable prices. My inner lovely hipster is satisfied.

Edit: Bought five albums - Under The Bushes, Under The Stars by Guided by Voices, Electric Version by The New Pornographers, And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out by Yo La Tengo, A Ghost is Born by Wilco and Brighten The Corners by Pavement. It came out to 70 bucks total.

Vinyill. No wait, the haircut thing. Never mind, it was the fact that he gloved one hand and then used his greasy sweaty hand to handle abuse everything anyway. How is he even confused about how CDs are packaged? You can't walk into tech stores without aisles upon aisles of them.

Well also, he went online and preordered what he thought was a cd for 50 bucks and thought, "Yeah that seems about right!".

Couldn't find the Donald Darko album :negative: so I went with Dredd and Solaris, which were both steals.

I just bought Dredd for 40 bucks. But I supported my favorite local shop in doing so, so it's not all bad.

These prices are incredible, jeez. It's too bad you can't reserve payments on back-ordered items, but I've got this bookmarked and as a test I picked up Nine Types of Light by TV On The Radio. After shipping and tax, it came out to only $10.18. As long as it shows up in one piece, I'll be going on a shopping spree in the neat future.

Seems like it. Did it limit everyone else to only 3 items at a time? I ended up having to place 5 different orders instead of one big 15 item order. Kind of annoying really, but if this is legit, it's friggen worth it. I found a lot of stuff on there that I jumped on because I either could never find it at my local store or the price was too high for my taste otherwise.

I purposefully only posted on this site and not reddit to hopefully make sure you goons got what you want. My order consisted of Donnie darko ost, dyad ogst, last night by Clint mansell, and about a boy soundtrack. 44 shipped and came in 3 days. so, if it goes through, I'm betting it'll work.

I dunno, regardless of the 'typical youth' thing I kinda find it hard to hate on a kid who's genuinely excited by the concept of a turntable and how scratching works etc. Based on how loving awful record collectors can be, I can only feel happy for a kid who's discovered a new way to play his favourite album.

What attitude problem?
Thanks for posting, ordered five albums in two shipments and was told they should arrive on the 26th. It can be overwhelming to go through, but if anyone is doubting it, I spent about $65 on five albums with shipping and taxes that would have cost $120 on Amazon. I understand the need to support local stores, but this is insanely good.

As far as its length, I don't see anything that mentions the items being closeout or discounted other than a few with a strikethrough and a new price below in red. So maybe it's permanent.

I'm not slurring the byrds. I'm reading the 33 1/3 book on the notorious Byrd brothers right now and wanted some opinions.

I like the Byrds but I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Gene Clark's solo stuff. If you can only get one, get No Other, one of the very best coked-out, self-indulgent records any singer/songwriter put out in the 70s (and there's plenty of competition for that particular title). It cost roughly one squillion dollars to make, got savagely buttfucked by critcs, sold like dogshit, ended up being deleted by Asylum within two years, and basically stomped out Clark's career as a major-label artist (he only released 5 more albums in the next decade and a half before dying). A sad story, one made a thousand times sadder by how much the album loving owns. It's only eight songs long, but those eight songs cover everything from this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akBZ7GW_VaE

To this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDAYw-sWVg0

To this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvavhLZO2_0

It's just awesome. A+++++ million billion stars. Finding a good copy on vinyl can be tough since it sold so poorly when it was released, but 4 Men With Beards reissued it sometime in the last few years. (I scored my copy when I went into a beat-up little record store near my office to browse, spotted the reissue in the racks, and when I took it up to the counter the guy took one look and said "Oh wait, I think we've got an original" and brought back a pristine first pressing with the poster and everything. I nearly wet myself.) And I know it's heresy to say this in this thread, but the CD is actually pretty great too - not only does it have an amazing remaster of the album, but it comes with 8 or 9 bonus tracks (mostly alternate versions) which are almost uniformly worth your time.

Also check out White Light, Gene Clark With The Gosdin Brothers, and So Rebellious A Lover, his duet LP with Carla Olsen; there are some really great songs on Two Sides To Every Story and Roadmaster, too. There's also a lot of contemporary stuff which can be traced back to Clark, which is to say "Listen to 'Roscoe' by Midlake right now if you like this stuff at all."

After writing all of this it occurs to me that none of this sounds particularly like the Byrds, but whatever, people should still listen to Gene Clark.

I'm thinking this is permanent, but if word gets out and people start massively buying stuff in bulk things may change. I know that the stock updates on the site are true, as I bought the last copy of Last Night by Clint Mansell and now when I check it its backordered. Whats amazing is that it's even laid out by release date - gets pretty easy to browse once you figure out the nuances of the site, which admittedly is very poorly coded.
