Honestly if I had to rely on MMing to play CS:GO I probably wouldn't still be playing CS:GO. Goonmans are fun, come goonman. Most of us have been playing with each other on the reg for going on two years now and it definitely beats playing against randoms. I will start to get in on goonmans now that I know that I am silver III and you guys are forewarned as to how much of a burden you are carrying. I will still enjoy MM but I will refuse to drop into classic casual because that place is a loving zoo.

There's a bit of speculation going around, half disproven, that VAC is keeping tabs on which domains you visit and may or may not be storing it. Gabe knows about all that horrible porn you've been watching.

Huh that's interesting: for those who are curiuos here's the reddit thread talking about it: http://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/1y0kc1/vac_now_reads_all_the_domains_you_have_visited/?top I will have to fire up IDA at some point and see for myself what they do with it after that I guess. edit: But honestly even if they did flag you for having organner.pl in your DNS cache it doesn't mean you bought/downloaded any actual hacks. astr0man fucked around with this message at 16:36 on Feb 17, 2014 |

It's pretty safe to say that they're not banning anyone if they just visit cheat sites. Most likely it's just another parameter in their machine learning algorithm. Shady stuff in any case.

I am curious what everyone's "true" sensitivity is (Mouse DPI multiplied by in game sensitivity setting). I play at 600 DPI X 2 in game = 1200

It's the same as what you said, except that an arbitrary number like "1200" isn't very helpful to anyone. And unless for whatever reason you have changed your m_yaw value in game you can leave it alone.

How is the arbitrary number of 1200 which is DPI * Ingame Sensitivity, any better than inches per 360 which, by your logic, is equally as arbitrary. "True sensitivity" is a term I have heard countless times, where as I have never heard inches/360. Granted I don't read this thread. Both values are equally consistent. I will grant you that yours takes into account two additional settings. However it seems like in 99% of the case those settings never differ from the defaults.

Except that inches per 360 accounts for how many degrees in game one "dot" in DPI actually moves your crosshair... edit: and yes I realize that multiplying DPI times in game sensitivity gives you the same thing, but unless you are a sperg who has all those numbers memorized saying "12 inches per 360" will be a lot more helpful to anyone in this thread than "1000" or whatever you want to use. astr0man fucked around with this message at 21:02 on Feb 17, 2014 |

^^^ I understand the point, but I still don't think it makes one inherently better than the other. Especially since one requires you to use a tool to get the value whereas the other anyone can just tell you (assuming you know your dpi).astr0man posted:Except that inches per 360 accounts for how many degrees in game one "dot" in DPI actually moves your crosshair...
