I 'spect they're going to look for the green dude's final record next, if he even has one. And if they can find it without knowing his name. Although they do know Steadman's, come to think of it ...

Well hey, I guess Fecha isn't the only person interested in what the artilleryman has to say. (Also, wow, Steadman's post-death words and apparent cause of death are... Surprising.)

Gunnerkrigg. The artilleryman's name is loving Gunnerkrigg, calling it now!

It's Gunner's Crag or something. I remember someone linked to a page when Annie first met the two fairies down in the ravine. They were talking about "Gunner's Crag" as the place they're sposed to go to. So I guess his name is Gunner or somethin'.

"Gunnerkrigg" is actually one of those weird UK place names, it's pronounced "Gehrig" and this is all a complete coincidence

Somebody better draw The Death Of Steadman. And I'm calling that Artilleryman is called... Mort.

mfcrocker posted:Almost certainly Pretty sure someone debunked this in greater detail, but just for starters Mort is, according to Muut, far too new at his job to fit a timeline in which he is the Artilleryman. Also, this comic just reinforced my general attitude of "gently caress Steadman goddamn". Young at least had some cognizance of his sins, Steadman did not ever give one single gently caress.

To his defence, though, the nature of his death may not be as conducible to introspection as Diego and Young's apparently were.

So this particular thought just hit me. I doubt it's new to the thread regulars and certainly I've seen something similar tossed around here, but I had to get it out. Mortar is a type of artillery.

What if there was a big climactic battle for the Court's future with swords and arrows and etheric powers being flung about and Steadman got leg-sweeped by fox-Ysengrin and fell into the chasm while firing multiple arrows at a gigantic manifestation of Coyote as a megazord, what then huh
