Do they still turn off the music forge recipes ate the event I'd truly over? I don't think I'll be able to get the full backpack before the end. I'm not a 500 crafter and only have 30g to my name.

They'll probably let you do the recipe after if you still have the mats for it, I don't think they've disabled many forge recipes at all. Also drink less.

Is there a way to harvest the loot pinata with ele half as well as guardian staff can? It seems like it'd be sweet exp for easy levelling, but I don't want to do it at the expense of too many goodies.

I've had serious problems tagging enemies with my warrior in the LA combat runs, so I decided to buff up my guardian (Reefer Sutherland) a bit to take advantage of the staff skill 1's stupid range and cone size. What level would you recommend grinding to before I just jump in and start spamming attacks?

You can buy it for 5g from the mystic forge vendor or 3G and some relics from the camp vendor. Those vendors often do go away. Or just don't worry about ascended. I ended up with enough for the exotic just with a few la event runs and what was in my crafting bank.

So I'm not getting credit at all for some of these escort missions on my level 30, mainly the ogres and moa. Is it because I'm not doing enough damage and should bring my level 80's? I'm starting off right at the beginning for some of these.

You need to make sure to get kill credit on some of the mobs that specifically spawn for the escort events.

I can't get credit for the ogre mission either. But I also stopped trying once I got the meta done. At a certain point the event scales the mobs up so high that you can't kill any before the ogres run out the portal. Requiring kills to get credit is pretty clumsy. Minor nitpick in an otherwise good update.

I've dropped finishers on some of the toxic naga things without getting kill credit. I assumed it was because I wasn't doing enough total damage for it to count, since if I can throw out 10k damage or more I get credit every single time. What really pisses me off are the champions that despawn when the ogre event ends. I had almost killed you, dammit, get back here with my gear box!

The way kill credit works in this game is very strange. Champions have a ridiculously low threshold for credit, while I am pretty sure all other mobs, kill credit is something on the order of 5% mob health per party. This means that things with large health pools (like elites) can give no credit to anyone if there are enough people attacking it, which is dumb. Edit: Oh yeah and finishers aren't worth poo poo when it comes to credit.

I switched to full zerker gear to make sure I get bags and kill credit. Sucks when an enemy smashes you for a 14k hit but you should be able to rally immediately afterwards. Another thing is, kill the krait since they don't need to be finished. If you only down a nightmare court enemy and the event finishes, that probably won't count. Also, yes, lol @ the fact that zerker is once again the skeleton key to the living story.

Yeah I've been hearing that the main server is actually more buggy with events than the overflow servers. I know for a fact though I've successfully done both elite aetherblades and keeping all 7 moas alive in both overflow and non-overflow and have yet to get credit either time, including staying in the event area the entire time and killing event mobs. Pretty sure it's just that ANet seemingly never tests this crap before adding itand they'll fix it with a patch on like the final day or something when no one wants to do it anymore.

I had thought that until I got into overflow with zero miasma and citizens recused and after ten minutes it jumped to full miasma and kicked everyone. I think the overflows might be linked to the time frame of the main no matter when they were created.

The miasma counter means absolutely loving nothing and there's no reason to be concerned about it in the slightest. The messages that pop up and the bar give the implication that failing miasma events will cause the bar to fill quicker, but it's all just on a timer, the events have no meaningful contribution at all. Certain events always spawn at certain times, and I'm certain you can never fail before the 45-50 minute mark.

The bar rises no matter what, it's a timer. Beating the events including the miasma ones gives you bonus civs rescued depending on how fast you do them.

That being said, if you look carefully you can sometimes find little miasma cannisters being teleported in and activated on the map. They seem to coincide with the miasma meter rising. Though I can never kill them in time to see if taking them out matters. Regardless of which, the way it's designed means that the miasma mechanic is just a timer. There's no known or reliable way to stop it from rising.

The new Waypoint outside of the tengu gate in LA is really getting my hopes up about getting a Living Story about tengu, or do I even dare to hope, playable tengu. Just give me something tengu, Anet. You can't just put a waypoint named "diversity" outside of the tengu gate without it being a hint.

Tengu are cool cause you can get them to kill you then lure people to res in the 40k damage arrow fire.
