Leigh Broxham scored this fine volley against the reigning champions of Asia, Guangzhou Evergrande, last night to put Melbourne Victory 2-0 up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSL_13bT600 We then got torn apart by Alessandro Diamanti and lost 4-2, but I don't care, because Broxham is the coolest and best dude ever. He's got previous form against Evergrande, scoring this free kick last time we played them in 2009 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsrh4xVtU7s as well as scoring the goal that sealed Victory's qualification for the Asian Champions League. He also did this to Del Piero in the league a while ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJQTjewR9KU and despite being 5ft 6, marked Emile Heskey out of the game when we played Newcastle earlier in the season. He's a proper good lad, and is Victory through and through, having been a season ticket holder in the first season of the club's existence, then volunteering as the kit man for a season before winning a contract. He was absolutely atrocious for a while, and became a massive scapegoat until last season under arguably the best current Australian coach, Ange Postocoglou, who somehow managed to teach him how to control a ball again and the kid from the terraces is now our vice-captain and led the team out in our pre-season friendly against Liverpool. Here's his first goal he ever scored for the club https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaaWPfD67Lk Feed the Brox and he will score!

Ravel posted:Can anyone come up with a decent XI made up of current managers? With some quick Googling, I came up with this side (with a few people playing out of position, but what can you do): Abbondanzieri (Godoy Cruz); Simeone (At. Madrid), Blanc (PSG), Deschamps (France), Roberto Carlos (Sivasspor); Del Bosque (Spain); Seedorf (Milan), Guardiola (Bayern), De Boer (Ajax); Laudrup (unatt., formerly Swansea), Klinsmann (USMNT) Subs: Lennon (Celtic), Ancelotti (Real), Di Canio (unatt., formerly Sunderland), McCoist (Rangers), Lambert (Villa), Montella (Fiorentina), Bianchi (Boca), Tata (Barça), Burruchaga (Lanús), Conte (Juventus) Troy Queef fucked around with this message at 08:53 on Feb 27, 2014 |

I'd put van Basten up front instead of Klinsman. I also looked up Maradona to see if he was still coaching, but apparently he's playing at some club in the 5th tier of Argentinian football.
